Also we can't have a movie that doesn't try to fix inexistent racism with more racism. "It's not like it's a white man's murder." Out of nowhere with no implication to the story and in specially when the f main detective is black. Those movies have their own genre "infuriating".
Shaman King (2021)
Somehow copying the original and still ending with something way worse
Watered down, softer, characters lacking character, and rushed(and somehow still feels boring and longer). Anna in this one slaps Morty 2 times before making him go grab a drink, in the original she doesn't have to touch him, just by her commanding attitude instills fear, and in the original her entrance is ominous, presented as strong, destroyed spirits while young, saving Yoh's life, tough as nails, ready to call everyone on their bs, in this one she's introduces herself in 1 sentence and calling herself queen and that's why nobody's allowed to talk back to her.
In the original Morty's friends laugh at him 1st time when he's ok and unharmed and are worried and try to protect him (by telling him they're not intrested in his ghosts stories) when they see him hurt and beaten up, in this one they laugh harder when Morty's beaten half to death.
In the original when Yoh and Morty leave school and go to meet Ryu, Yoh's all about just making them apologize, and inviting them to stay there together (which is in theme with Yoh's good pure heart and somewhat naivity) in the new one, straight to fight, straight to leave this place and don't come back. And there are even small things that make a difference. Like tying Morty to the tree, funny; like Ryu's men going to fight themselves in the original (loyalty, internal drive their choice) vs being sent by their boss. Ryu sweating I'm the original, he's afraid but still steps forward, new one just rage straight to fighting.
Arranged marriage by parents to "secure blood line" vs saved life and he personally chose to owe her and promised to make her queen (she worked for her marriage and place next to the shaman king + internal drive, owing her his life).
Amidamaru's choice in the original, he was ready to leave, he was leaving, close to peace and long awaited serenity. And chose to sacrifice that for Yoh, to save him. His choice carried weight, it was an obvious sacrifice, just like how Yoh had helped Amidamaru selflessly, and let him go to the other side, and not just rushed through everything, "Ok I beat this guy -check, got your sword - check, let's go!", that gave their relationship strength and depth, it's not only Amidamaru serving Yoh, but is also Yoh wishing to not waste Amidamaru's sacrifice.
In the original Amidamaru in the first fight is disciplined and composed like you'd expect a legendary and experienced samurai/fighter to be, wise, knowing rage only makes you fight worst. In the new one "let's kill the already aaaaah".
The original was inspiring, motivating
Also Netflix original my a.
The title of cheap copy is too generous.
