Great sequel from Rocky I, here the character is more developed and the message of overcoming personal challenges by hard work and positive mindset is made much more present. Rocky is all about inspiration, I really recommend watching the build up development that starts at the first movie.

Disappointed

Awful movie. It had potential, feels as if a good script ended up in the wrong hands. It's very depressing and you don't take anything from watching, it doesn't instigated any thinking or discussion, it doesn't inspire, is just a waste of time.

Enlightening

Very good, brings a wider view of what happened, how it happened and why it happened. Also it names and shame some people and organisations involved, much needed to bring accountability on such a tragic event and fall out of the idea that it was just a crazy act performed by a lunatic and that it couldn't have been avoid. Every mass shooting in the US could have been avoided. This one has some sad particularities that drove me get to know more about it, and this movie so far was the best study presented.
May all the victims rest in peace.

Amazing

Great acting from absolutely everyone in the cast. The plot is gripping without dragging too much, five episodes and you're done. Characters are consistently built, makes you notice the story is based on a book - in fact, it made me want to read the author's work. Beautiful photography showing careful direction.

It could be good, but it's not!

Feels like someone had a good idea for a movie, decided to write a storyline. Suddenly studio says let's film it, but changes this and that and that in the plot.
During filming comes Covid crisis, and studio says we need to finish, wrap it up with what we have so far - and that's it. I'm sorry for the actors, they did a good job though.

You can't call that a documentary

Warning: Spoilers
It's not about the rangers, not about the gorilaz, not about a rebel group, not about an investigation over a foreign oil company. It's just a bunch of scattered images with no context, a young journalist secretly filming people telling what everybody knows and a public Wild Park managed by someone from the Belgium royal family, where they work with protected species but give Pringles potatoes to them.

Interesting work, a topic to be better explored

I tend to think that this documentary as others that have been filmed in the past few years miss the opportunity of shwoing a more journalistic perspective, giving the criticised people the chance of presenting a statement after the final cut is done. In general, the film is not mind-blowing on the sense of evidencing that any large scale industry cannot and will never be sustainable, but it does the job very well by presenting data that can be fact checked and gruesome images that speak by itself. The pace is fast and topics addressed are broad enough to make you want them to dig more into each argument presented.

Very disappointing
1 April 2021
I've watched Icarus years ago and I was expecting a lot from this film, but I must say it was a huge disappointment. You will not find anything new here if you have read about this story before or watched any other doc about it - even the witnesses and acquaintances approached at this movie are the same. No new images, nor new credible theories to enlight or bewilder the history - just a long (looong) film presenting what everybody already knows.
I'm giving 4 stars because I hate dictatorships in general, and anyone trying to undermine them deserve some respect.

Coming 2 America

A celebration to a classic, rather than a movie
5 March 2021
This is more like an ode to Coming to America, rather than a sequel. It's worth of a couple laughs but don't expect anything remarkable here, except for seeing great black actors from the past and present in scene. But yes, it's a very silly movie.
Another fast food documentary from Netflix
3 March 2021
The documentary is not up to the level of the artist. Interviews are disconnected, each one probably recorded on a single day shot. There's no new footage presented, neither a deeper investigation over the artist's lyrics or a thorough production. It's just Netflix once again wasting out an icon's history.
Is it all true?
16 February 2021
Good history with a mind blowing plot... sometimes a hard to believe it's all true, and that facts really happened as they are being told. But it's worth watching even without having that much clarity, for the boldness of the movie makers and the footage recorded. As everything else regarding North Korea, it's hard to fact check. So basically you have to put some faith on the storytellers and believe that what they're saying it's true and unfolded the way they show.
Great research work
14 February 2021
An amazing documentary about those sad times. It's astonishing the research work, the amount of unseen footage and detailed information brought on all episodes. Also very touching testimonials of people involved and/or affected by those 30 years of war. I suggest watching it with a glossary about the Troubles, as there are several specific terms that can make the history complicated to follow.
