The Lost World (1925)
IRRITATING MUSIC SCORE!
I've always wanted to see this film. There's a 69 minute version titled: "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World" on Amazon Prime (as of 2022). If this is the original score I'd be shocked. It's introduced by something called Ghoulish Grin Films and I'm almost positive they provided the musical score for this version. It's so irritating with bells clanging throughout the intro and a clock endlessly ticking (for no apparent reason) through the first scene. It's so distracting that I couldn't watch anymore. I'm not going to damage the rating of the film itself by giving it a number yet as I'm sure it's good but something needs to be done about this AWFUL version! Couldn't watch it!
This Is Us: The Train (2022)
Should have been the finale
Probably the best (as far as emotional) episode of the series. Pretty much wrapped everything up in a heartfelt and satisfying way. I'd say the only thing missing was the third triplet who died at birth. I was expecting Rebecca to be reunited with him but it wasn't mentioned. The actual finale (next episode) wasn't bad but was a slight letdown from this high point. I'd have rated it a 10 except for the part with the family in the accident storyline. I really didn't feel that was necessary. I get what they were going for but it distracted from the series wrapping up. It would have fit in better either last season or in an earlier episode.
Either way, a great send-off to a great series (although flawed with PC crap here and there).
Senior Year (2022)
Funny movie. Worth a watch.
Rebel Wilson is great in this. I absolutely loved the fun-poking at all the liberal PC nonsense. Don't know if it was intentional or not but it was a lot of laughs. Predictable but satisfying nonetheless. My favorite laugh was the vote results for the prom Queen.
This Is Us: The Night Before the Wedding (2022)
This is what THIS IS US is supposed to be
After last season and all the PC BS that was shoved at us; this is one of the top episodes of this series. I saw a review calling it boring. Have you been watching since episode 1? I loved it! I hope the series finale is at least as satisfying as this episode.
It's pretty obvious that the show will end with Rebecca's death as all the foreshadowing future scenes have alluded to. It will be sad but hopefully a happy ending as well.
This Is Us: Every Version of You (2022)
The way it should be...
See, now this is what this show can be when it's not shoving PC crap down our throats. All the feelies. I hope the trend continues through the end of the series and doesn't go all preachy and racial BS on us. Great episode.
See, I'm not all negative. Praise when deserved....damnation when required.
The Lost Symbol (2021)
Lost me after 3 minutes.
More woke trash. Three minutes in and they're already equating the patriotic DON'T TREAD ON ME flag with the nazi swastika. Take your Hollywood communism and stick it where the sun doesn't shine!
Survivor: A New Era (2021)
CBS / PROBST CAVES TO THE PC LEFT
Here we go. No more "Come on in, guys" because ONE crybaby leftie was triggered. Exactly the same as in real life.
Was liking the season until that nonsense.
Younger: Older (2021)
Not the worst series finale but...
I don't think it really deserves all the "1"s I'm seeing but definitely not a 10. It just didn't feel right. Everything seemed a reach in the way they attempted to tie up all the loose ends.
Maggie and Cass??? I don't think so. The woman ruins her life, practically stalks her and they fall in love?? Far-fetched.
Lauren and the two gay guys? Sure...whatever.
Go through all the drama to put Liza and Charles back together only to mysteriously break them up for good just before the end?? Honestly, I kind of wanted Liza to end up with Josh anyway and I liked the idea but the execution was abysmal and forced.
And why were Diana and Zane ostensibly written out of the last season? To save money on actor's salaries?
Possibly the only ending that made much sense was Kelsey's. I could totally see her succeeding in the end and moving away to the west coast but it would have been sweeter to see her keep the imprint at Empirical after all.
It's like they either had no ideas left or they just didn't give a rat's ass. It's like someone who never watched the show was given the task to wrap it up. Too bad, it was a pretty decent series overall.
A Million Little Things: Junior (2021)
Don't bother writing a review, they won't post it if it's bad!
I see my reviews don't get posted if they are bad. This episode was great until the last segment! Suck suck suck!
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: Zoey's Extraordinary Reckoning (2021)
A GREAT SHOW PANDERS TO THE PC CULT
ZOEY is (was) a refreshing, unique show...UNTIL THIS EPISODE! As soon as it went "white guilt", racism, etc; I felt ready to turn it off. While I'm sure there have been some touches of this in past episodes; this was just an all-out PC love-fest and it disappointed me to see it in yet another show that I used to enjoy. Can't say I'm too surprised, though. The whole entertainment world is caught up in this BS. While I haven't yet pulled the plug on ZOEY; it's definitely on the chopping block if this is what's to come in future episodes. For the record: this is NOT what Martin Luther King fought for. It's the EXACT OPPOSITE!
