Rick and Morty: The Ricklantis Mixup (2017)
Great, but for a different reason
Similarly to Auto-Erotic Assimilation, the episode is great for its own reasons. Sure it has some great jokes (Simple Ricks), but the entire episode is quite emotional and it ends with this feeling of breakthrough, as if a problem was solved. Similarly to Auto-erotic Assimilation, (and the end of Star-Mort for that matter), it doesn't have as many jokes, but the story is very well written and it is dark and emotional. Rick's attempted suicide and Rick's realization at the end of both of the previously mentioned episodes led to similar feeling. And, honestly, if they pull another episode like this one; dark, emotional, in Season 5 (which hasn't been very good), that could help the season turn around.
American Beauty (1999)
Funny, well-acted, and a great plot.
The movie is extremely funny, and yet still has a powerful message. The acting is great and the characters change in a great way the movie is one my top 3 movies.
Twin Peaks (1990)
There will never be a show as good as this one
I'm not going to spend a lot of time explaining why but this show is indescribably great. Every time now when I hear the intro music, it triggers something within me, causing to remember the best thing I've ever seen. The story is intricate, and well thought out as well as being unique, the acting is superb, it can be very funny, and the direction is perfect. There were a lot of stage accidents that made the show even better. The supernatural elements perfect the series, and now whenever Twin Peaks gets mentioned, I call back to the best 3 weeks I've ever spent watching the show. Season 3 is great as well, although it feels like a different show.
Twin Peaks: The Return (2017)
I don't blame people that gave it a negative review
The series is very centralized around a certain audience. If you are a hardcore Twin Peaks fan, you probably won't like it. But if you watch all of the series in one go without much background knowledge, it is great.
I understand people who didn't like the series. It's slow, there are a lot of new characters, new location, less about Twin Peaks, different feel, 5-minute shots of someone mopping a floor or washing in a shower, and lots of characters are introduced for one episode and never seen again when it feels like they should be used more. It reads as boring and feels like a completely different show, and I agree, it is very different. Yet it still continues the story masterfully and expertly. And lots of characters are introduced for one episode and
There are a lot of unresolved plots and is intended to be interpreted in many different ways and there isn't just one way to interpret literally every scene. There are a lot of mysteries.
David Lynch has a unique way of answering questions. He answers questions with other questions. He answers what happens to Dale Cooper's doppelgänger by adding tons of other characters like Ray Monroe and Richard Horne. He answer what happened in the Dale Cooper when he was trapped in the Red Room for 25 years by adding an entire dimension called the Mauve Zone. Some may not like it but I do, and people who like David Lynch's way of writing a story would.
All in all, if you like David Lynch's way of narrating, a totally different experience, something far more violent, something that even the basic plot isn't tied up on at the end will like the series. Anyone else won't.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
NOT THE BEST BUT STILL A VERY ENTERTAINING MOVIE
The movie does have plot holes and unrealistic things, but it's just a fun movie and despite its 4 hour length, it didn't feel long because of the attention to detail meaning there is never a dull moment. Best superhero movie!
