The Ceremony (1963)
cinematography
Some of the best lighting and cinematography I can remember ever seeing .....;slightly surreal.
Remarkable characters ... very beautiful people.
No terrible background music... at least very little ...
Pretty Woman (1990)
America
You could see this movie as an allegorical description of everything that America is ... for food for bad for richer for poorer. I was shocked it was 1990 doesn't feel that old barring the lack of mobile phones ..
Anna and the King of Siam (1946)
presuming some historical accuracy...
Presupposing the above it's and incredibly sympathetic portrayal of what may have taken place in the 19the century that enabled Thailand to avoid the attentions of rapacious european colonialists ..... if only for that a very good film indeed.
Carry on Behind (1975)
A good Carry On
Better than many more hackneyed over exposed (!!!!) Carry Ons .... better than Carry On Camping.... endearing and sweet .. lovely fresh characters working on ever present themes ... hilarious that a sexy east european is central to plot... nothing changes.
Passport to Shame (1958)
old film better than new films for exposing vice
This old movie is incredibly current .... more relevant now to what goes on in london now than it was when it was made. There are no modern movies that show the intricacies of how these people work better than this marvellous old movie...
