Suedi (2021)
Just got it right.
I don't understand why swedish people always underestimate their own movies especially Comedy.
The main character guy's timing was absolutely on spot and he was a fresh face so I am happy to see some changes in Swedish film industry.
Loved the whole story and made me laugh all along. Obviously, it's not a perfect movie and has lots of holes but it makes you feel good. You can see the whole background that it has some real story behind it and many can relate to it.
They could have made the ending much better and some unaccepted twist can make things more spicy but it's just fine.
Overall, great movie to spend a nice long weekend.
En gång i Phuket (2011)
My fav Christmas movie
I watched that movie in 2012 and thought what a great movie. Then I came across IMDB rating and got a shock that it's just rate 5,6. Somehow, Swedish people really underrate their movies alot. It's a very light, happy feeling movie. It always bring smile on your face and reminds me my time in Stockholm during Christmas and new year. Sven was absolutely masterclass in his role but my fav charachter was that Norwegian girl. Makes me laught everytime and I think about the scene with the dog and their first night together :) I hope Peter Magnusson will make more movies with such a light topic and keep us smiling.
The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022)
Absolutely masterpiece
Probably the best ever Pakistani movie. Dialogues and their delivery were amzing. Almost all the main character justified their roles. What an amazing movie. I remembered the time when Jeeva revived the Pak movie industry for a while and lots of Urdu movies were made in 90s. Looks like this will bring back the industry on its feet again and will start the big production movie trend. Credit goes to the director and the producer who showed the courage to spend 50-60 crore rupees on a movie in Pakistan. Mostly production houses are afraid of investing in a dieing industry. I wish Bilal Lashari all the best in the future.
