Shingeki no Kyojin: Two Brothers (2022)
MAPPA GIVES US THE BEST EPISODE SINCE HERO
Ok, first of all, as a huge Breaking Bad fan too, just stop, you and other fanbases are the ones that started after watching how Hero could dethrone your favorite episodes, of course AoT fans had to do the same, those extreme low scores are so painfully obvious trolls.
But back to the actual topic.
Even though there are still some minor animation flaws, specially on the CGI, all of these aspects become irrelevant because of how extremely well directed this episode was, and some of the 3D maneuvering gear animation was top notch too.
The way this episode symbolizes the conclusion and/or climax of the arcs of the several brothers of the series and how it was executed throughout the whole episode was just an amazing way of structuring the episode.
Overall an excellent episode.
Jujutsu Kaisen: To You, Someday (2020)
An incredible, impactful, emotional and masterfully directed tragic episode.
Possibly one of the best if not the best episode of this first season.
The explored psychology and relationship of the characters throughout this arc and its conclusion here is brilliant, specially Yoshino's tragic and well done character development.
Also props to Mappa for making the horror elements of the manga to be brilliantly executed here too, the animation as always is top tier too.
