Let me point out one thing only out many I could have mentioned. Our heroine spends a good part of her time wandering the streets of Second Empire Paris wearing knitted tights and blue denim hot pants. Seriously??

What on earth were the producers thinking of? After a nearly flawless first season, season two, which I am now watching on DVD, is sucking big- time. The Nell Jones character is just flatly unbearable. The "Standoff" episode contains some of the most cringe-inducing writing ever seen on this show. The incomparable Linda Hunt is still the heart and soul of the show for me, and I love the Callen-Hanna chemistry. Marty Deeks is great, too, but there were some bad casting changes in season two that have not helped it at all. I hope it gets better, but I'm not holding my breath. Used to love the show; now, not so much. Suggestions for a future plot line: stuff Little Nell into a giant catapult and shoot her into the sun. Nobody cares.
