I cannot for the life of me understand why Carnival Row was gifted to us with only two seasons. The story is good, the characters are splendid, the actors are wonderful (whether you hate or love their characters), the milieu almost made me fall over to suspend my disbelief, the fae are wonderfully diverse, and the backstories are the bomb.
Orlando Bloom has become a formidable actor, far more intersting than he was as an archer. Tamzin Archer is a great addition to this cast as she makes a wonderful entitled snob who comes down off her cloud. She realizes the fae, particularly a faun, are even more moral and nonprejudicial than many humans around her. David Gyasi is a talented actor who brings his "puck" to life.
I can't talk about all the characters but would be remiss not to at least mention Simon McBurney. He is so talented and a strong performer whose "Runyan" steals a big part of every scene he enters.
The money spent on this universe, its history, its people, and its possibilities are totally wasted if the show doesn't get picked up by another network or renewed.
