Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback (2022)
Stranger Things has a reoccurring problem..
The series is great. Cinematography is good, acting is great, and soundtrack the greatest.
However were Stranger Things struggle is with stakes and setup/pay-off. For some reason The Duffer Brothers refuse to kill off any "main" characters, which is incredibly frustrating. By the third time Vecna almost killed Max I didn't care anymore because the gravities and anticipation was gone by then and had been replaced with frustration.
I 100% agree that every show shouldn't be as relentless and brutal as Game Of Thrones, but the fact is that it has been 4 seasons without the death of a main character and it is a huge blow on the series' ability to build stakes.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Power Broker (2021)
A mediocre show
The show had a lot of potential with some great actors starring. However, the show fails to deliver and the Disney "political touch" is quite clear and annoying in this series. Disney is trying to hard to push a political narrative in their storytelling and it's becoming quite a barrier for good storytelling.
