Don't Axe Me (1958)
Daffy gets no sympathy from me in this one.
Daffy is just mean to Barn Yard Dog. He takes his food, hits him on the head, twice...
I would've felt more bad for Daffy about to decapitated if he wasn't written as such an instigator in this one but since he is not I have no problem with what Elmer does to him.
The Dog House (1952)
The ending is what I came for.
Years ago on You Tube someone commented down how the ending of this cartoon is and I quote: "How Trump got his wall built."
Well, since then You Tube has disabled the comment section but that isn't going to stop me at an opportunity like this.
Spike 'whipping' Tom is how Joe Biden keeps Haitians from entering the country.
How do you like it?
Gang Busters: The Blonde Tigress (1952)
Still at large
I wish they showed how she was really caught and it certainly wasn't because of a female cop. I know showbiz takes liberties with real stories but if they are going to play fast and lose with the facts I'm going to challenge them. Also she was a crook, a robber, an outlaw but she didn't kill that shop owner.
It's been over 80 years since she escape and it reminds me of Frank Morris and how he escaped from Alcatraz island never to be found. Considering that she might have been alive when this aired back in the 1950s I wonder if she had a chance to watch. What did she think of it?
A President Show Documentary: The Fall of Donald Trump (2019)
Pathetic actors
I'm not surprised but I am getting tired of this hollywood nonsense. Everytime a conservative wins the presidency a junk heap like this has to be made.
I use to have deep respect for Stephanie March from SVU but watching this just shows not only her ignorance but also her obvious jealousy of Ivanka's youth, beauty and intelligence but also for the fact that she has a faithful husband.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse (1947)
One of thee worst T&J cartoons EVER!!
I know these cartoons are just cartoon but still they need someone to feel and cheer for. When Tom starts the fight, I feel for Jerry and it should apply here as well but it doesn't.
All Tom wants to do is enjoy his milk but Jerry rudely won't leave him alone. Then at insult to injury Jerry become super strong and beats up Tom. The ending is very insulting as well. Jerry, much like in the Wright Bros episode, is just a big bully in this and I won't advocate such a thing.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Selfish (2009)
One of the worst episodes of the show
This is one of my many controversial episodes of the show and the writers most certainly don't know how to handle such a circumstance.
There is no way in the world they would link the one mother's child with the death of another child's death like that.
What really upsets me are the characters in this. From the bickering grandma, constantly nagging her husband to do something to her and her daughter wear phony T shirts in court to finally the nagged husband taking his life at the end.
Total cheap grandstand that is suppose to make up feel sad when it just made me feel mad. This episode could've been choreographed much better but instead they made it sloppy.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Competence (2002)
Very Cliche episode.
Just try to imagine Rain Man crossed with Forrest Gump and ending with Radio.
That is how familiar this plot is. I think the writers just wanted to be lazy for a change. The episode is well acted but they had a chance to break some new ground with this episode but instead they just dug up the old "mentally challenged person being persecuted by the big bad establishment and only Stabler, Benson and Cabot can be the only true heroes to come to their rescue," bag. Trust me, all the elements are here and you can almost set your watch by them. I'm just surprised they didn't have an actor who looked like W. Or some other conservative play the bad guy.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Alternate (2007)
Why didn't they just call it Primal Fear?
Seriously, it's like they weren't even trying with this episode. The writers just watched/read Primal Fear and put their own spin on it.
Don't get me wrong, Nixon brilliant in almost everything she does but this had to be no challenge for her. Once you realize where this episode's plot is going to tune out because you ask yourself: "What's the point?"
I saw the twist coming a mile away, didn't you?
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Shaken (2003)
Entertaining but very insulting.
This show has very well acted episodes( including this one) as well as some very intriguing stories.
However in this episode when it is discovered who done it and that person is arrested the writers obviously thought the audience is too dumb to know the difference between coma and brain dead.
Throughout the third act they keep implying that a brain dead child can recover from their state of unconsciousness when even thee most average viewer knows that will never happen. What really upsets me about this episode is when they finally do put the child's doctor on the witness stand she just doesn't plainly explain to the prosecutor that difference. Instead they go into detail as to what child's life is like now with "broken bones and so forth..." I just didn't buy it. If she really loved her daughter she wouldn't put her through this.
I will say this the actress who plays the main suspect is good at crying which why I can understand they keep hiring her for other episodes.
Cockroach (2010)
Well...
Nice little film but for the life of me I have no idea what the moral, theme or message is of it. The film's slogan is "Love finds a way back." Alright but how?
I felt bad for both Charlie and his bride but she never realizes it's him. She doesn't realize it's him reincarnated as a bug hence there is no sense of closure or anything coming full circle. Just right back where we started from: tragedy.
I would've done it to where she knew it was Charlie but was mad him or realizing they couldn't be together he took his own life again.
There is just so much left to be desired from this rather lite enjoyable little film. Again, there is no sense of closure or coming to terms with death or grief. Just plain tragedy.
How would you have done it differently or did you like and why?
