Dynasty: That Unfortunate Dinner (2021)
Alexis owned the episode
What a fresh start for a new season. After a fairly bad third season, finally some drama again! Loved the rehearsal dinner. It was good to see Laura again! I hope we see her more next season. Best part of the episode: definitely Alexis being evil again. Plus look at how good she looked with the red suit and the wild printed dress! Colors indeed need to be included in her wardrobe!

Dynasty: Vows Are Still Sacred (2021)
Michael Allowitz should be indeed given more episodes
Needless to say, it was difficult to arrange and write a wedding episode in the middle of a pandemic but once again Allowitz served the purpose. The lightning in the theater was perfect and so were the external scenes, which really reflected his style. The directing wasn't as good in the rest of the season and that's really the flaw of s4, whose writing and tone improved a lot over the frivolous s3. Allowitz should get more episodes of this show, 3 for seasons aren't enough! I am happy Jeff and Alexis didn't last long! Now it's time for the show to introduce Dex so they can be a strong couple running big companies and keep up with Fallon and Blake!
Dynasty: Ship of Vipers (2018)
The Van Kirks should be used more often
The first few episodes of s2 when Fallon and Liam visit the Van Kirks are amazing! The only way to do Liam's stale character justice is involving Laura and the Van Kirks, introduce their business and make them rival to the Carringtons! If the Colbys are underused in the reboot, let the Van Kirks be the new Colbys.
Dynasty: Affairs of State and Affairs of the Heart (2021)
Goosebumps
I need to say this season had overall good material, it was much more mature than the frivolous s3 and had much OG content. However I felt the directing didn't serve. I acknowledge that it was partly because of COVID, but I remember episodes form he first 2 seasons that had amazing cliffhangers involving a couple people only like 2x09, 2x13, 2x14, 2x15, 2x17... just to mention some. On the other hand, this was one of the only few episodes of the season that REALLY REALLY got me attached to the screen and the final footages made me shiver.
Dynasty: Twenty-Three Skidoo (2018)
Fife is the man
As a young fan who watched the original Dynasty after discovering the reboot, I have to admit I am impressed at the number of scenes and dialogues used it the first 2 seasons and specially in Fife's episodes. This one had the 20s party which replicates Alexis's exact outfit and the episode title was featured in that episode of the OG too!! I really wish the CW makes Fife the next showrunner!!
Dynasty: Filled with Manipulations and Deceptions (2021)
Good, but it could have been better executed
The season finale was a good episode overall. I love the OG references when Alexis goes to jail. That outfit was everything we could have asked for. Arin Burke indeed needs to keep on recreating OG outfits and not only Alexis'. The cliffhanger was okay but it would have been a thousand times better if Beto had shot too so at least Blake would have been hurt too. It made zero sense to show Fallon bleeding because she's obviously not gonna die. The season overall is a good improvement over s3 but there are still a few things that need to be improved. First, Alexis needs to have 22 episodes. It's a shame that side characters like Sam and Culhane get more! Dex needs to be introduced to Alexis can run companies instead of being just a socialite. Like this, there would also be material for a businesswoman feud with Fallon. Fallon Unlimited is boring and has no real purpose, it should be replaced back with Carrington Atlantic! Fallon and Liam had the worst storylines in the season, I hope they give them better material in s5 instead of making Liam just a trophy husband. He had a storyline but it was mostly an offscreen storyline. Cristal and Alexis need to have more scenes together. Claudia should also be brought back so she could start a partnership with Adam. There are at least 3 characters (Sam, Kirby and Culhane) that are very sided have no real purpose. Sam and Culhane should have been written out 2 seasons ago. Kirby is actually the one who has the best material and the best interactions with the Carringtons among these 3 so if the choice is axing 1 or 2 she may be saved as she's a lowkey fan favorite as well. There should be more original characters, storylines, scenes AND lines. Ever since they stopped repeating lines that were also episode titles, the show pretty much lost the charm!! Last but not least, where the hell is STEVEN?!
Dynasty: A Good Marriage in Every Sense (2021)
Good, but skilled directing is better
Text: It was a good episode overall. I am enjoying the sibling and family dynamic with Amanda, Blake's senatorial campaign, Cristal's path and can't wait for Dominique's. Kirby is finally given an interesting storyline which will probably lead to their version of the Roger Grimes mystery which is a must for this reboot and should have been featured a long time ago. Fallon and Liam are the most boring like always this season. They've written them so unbalanced and not believable as Fallon's business is actually a pretty crappy and boring one. Fallon Unlimited should be replaced back with Carrington Atlantic, ColbyCo and Van Kirk industries since the main business focus should be oil. One more thing, I appreciate Liz's will to enter the directing world but the stars' directing are pretty basic and wouldn't be praised if there weren't their names attached. Moreover, they're potentially taking away the job of skilled directors like Michael Allowitz or Pascal Verschooris who have proved their excellent abilities in several episodes all over the show.
Dynasty: Everything Looks Wonderful, Joseph (2021)
Underwhelmed
This wasn't as bad as the black and white episodes but still disappointing. The episode could have perfectly worked without the dream sequence and Fallon and Liam have the lamest storylines like always this season. I am watching the original Dynasty right now and I am thinking one of the biggest mistakes they made with the reboot was making Fallon the lead and write her that way. I perfectly know that some elements need to be updated but business Fallon is a comic relief and Fallon Unlimited is not only boring, but the name itself gets on my nerves a bit. Alexis should get equal screentime in season 5 instead of being a side character. The main business focus should be oil and therefore Fallon Unlimited needs to be replaced back with Carrington Atlantic, Colby Co and Van Kirk Industries. Amanda is turning out good and that's the proof that original content is always the best. That's why we need Dex and Sable in the reboot for s5. And one more thing, enough of Anders ghost! We all know he was a good character and actor and needs to be honored but letting him more screentime than the one he had alive makes his death less meaningful. I'd rather a scene when the house is a mess and the family finally realizes he's gone.
Dynasty: You See Most Things in Terms of Black & White (2020)
Filler episode
These themed episodes need to stop. They add nothing to the show and are only a way to launch Liz's future singing career. Such a waste of screentime that could have been used to write some good drama and female empowerment. Dynasty is a drama for all ages, neither a musical, nor a sitcom, nor the Falliam romcom. David Israel and Josh Reims should be out of this show and Chris Fife needs to become the showrunner then. He knows the true essence of the original and knows how much fans love him.
Dynasty: Everybody Loves the Carringtons (2021)
Are we even sure we know what this show is about??
When you think an episode can't sink any lower than S3, you'll be unpleasantly surprised. The black and white scenes and references to sitcoms were horrible and a disgrace to the original show. Dynasty is a drama for all ages and it's meant to be about business, family and female empowerment, not nonsense comedy, Falliam romcom or a platform to launch Liz's future singing career. I even wonder why David Israel and Josh Reims still work on this show when we all know Chris Fife is the one who knows the true essence of the original and deserves to be the showrunner more than anybody else!
Dynasty: The Aftermath (2021)
Chris Fife as the showrunner
If there's someone who knows the true essence of the og Dynasty and deserves to be the showrunner more than anybody else, that's Fife. This episode is such a great start for a new season. References to the original and Alexis and Dominique's writing slay. Keep up the good work!
Dynasty: Go Rescue Someone Else (2021)
Heartbreaking
This episode was everything we could have asked for. Chris Fife did an amazing job incorporating elements of the OG show and s1 of the reboot. I still wonder why he isn't the showrunner already. Anders will be forever missed. He was such a good character and Alan Dale was amazing in the role. Even though I expected his death, the way it was build was really original and this proves that the show works when it's dark. Can't wait to see what there's in store next to those who were the closest to Anders and specially Kirby.
Dynasty: Stars Make You Smile (2021)
Amanda's very first fresh episode
Amazing episode! Preach to Jason Ganzel and Michael Allowitz🙏. Thanks good Amanda is bringing drama and can't wait to see how her arc evolves. This proves the show works when drama comes in.
