About Schmidt (2002)
It triggered my PTSD.
I give it 1 star because it is not a movie for the faint of heart, or for people suffering from mental illness such as depression, PTSD, or GAD.
I won't throw spoilers here, just beware of the triggering risk if you decide to watch it. I love Jack Nicholson movies, I even enjoyed The Shining, but not this one.
Idiocracy (2006)
It's not a funny movie
This is not fun fiction or a comedy movie, this is more like a reality show about current World realities and how it is getting worse and worse each day! This is the most accurate prophetic film there has ever been created on the subject of times to come. Forget about Back to the future or Soylent Green, this one is totally realistic!
Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Just remove the cow scene
I feel very much identified with Charlie/Hank. 99% of people in today's world are total "A$@@@@@$" and having to deal with them on a daily basis is not an easy task for a decent, honest, loving and caring peaceful person like me. It's very unbelievable how "we" are the ones taking meds and having to undergo therapy!
Walker (2021)
What happened to Martial arts?
This is like watching "The Incredible Hulk" without The Hulk, or "Knight Rider" without KITT, or "Baywatch" without the beach and the sea! ... or a version of "Chips" without motorcycles!!! Worse than "Magnum PI" without a moustache and a red Ferrari! Dude should go back to the haunted mansion.
Legion (2017)
First 3 episodes are ok
It started as a great series, then it became boring, trippy, repetitive, worse than a bad mushroom and LSD Alice in Wonderland kind of trip. I totally lost my interest on watching it.
Year Million (2017)
This is full of it
Some good theories, but just way too far fetched from possible or doable at all. These scientists have no idea about life or what being human really means. Get some Sci Fi fans join together with some quantum physics theorists and let them eat a few psychedelic mushrooms and there you go! That's the best description of this Nat Geo's series!
Cobra Kai (2018)
Makeup and hair pieces
Senior citizens wearing funny hair pieces and tons of makeup so they can fight each other like 1980's teenagers once again. This usually happens when people don't grow up properly and stay young at heart forever, some professionals call this "The Peter Pan Syndrome", that means they stay immature all of their lives, as kids, and they want to make other kids be like them.
The One (2021)
Awful!
This series is not my cup of tea. It is about a murderous mobster lady with psychotic issues, who finds out how to match perfect couples by using their DNA. The lady is sick for power and money, but she lacks humanity and values.
One Day at a Time (2017)
Beautiful series, but incomplete
Netflix only aired 3 seasons and then cancelled the show. Too sad because it's really a fun entertaining soap opera full of Latin humor and love.
Atypical (2017)
Drugs are not cool
It's a nice series, entertaining and interesting, as you get to know how a person with Aspergers thinks and lives. I would give it a 10, but I just gave it a 7 because I don't like how the series shows the main character's best friend as a stoned kid, as if smoking weed were something "cool" to do. I'm not a Saint myself, but I don't agree with a series for teens giving out that message.
For All Mankind (2019)
Great ambience and decoration
The 60's Retro Vintage look, filters, the clothes, everything is right on the spot! I'm enjoying it very much. This series is like watching a "what if" show like "The Man in the High Castle" combined with "Mad Men", but about the Space and flights to the Moon. Very entertaining and visually appealing.
Update: ok, I just reached season 2 and it has stopped being exciting, it's now slow and boring, turning itself into a feminist movement drama soap opera.
