Oppenheimer (2023)
Too Much Politics
My main problem with this film is the length, this did not have to be 3 hours long, you could've cut an hour off of this film and missed nothing.
Things i liked was Cillian played his role immensely, there was no scene where i thought it was out of place, he was 100% the perfect candidate for oppenheimer. The cinematography of course being a Nolan film was beautiful, the little details were so eye catching and did remind me a lot of the same interstellar style.
Things i didn't like about the film was it's draining run time, the first hour was unnecessary if this film was 2 hours it would've excelled but it had to do what all these typical blockbuster films do and run on for hours.
6/10 purely because i got cluckin bored :)
The Walking Dead: Rest in Peace (2022)
Season 5 rick vibes are back
Just to see rick broke me in two :,(
i'm so hyped for the spin-off for rick and michonne like i cannot wait, seeing him like he was in season 5 was just perfect!!!!!!!!
Anyways the episode. I thought it was a good conclusion maybe a bit unfulfilling at times with the battle with pamela and the amount of people still being like 100 of them when there's "50,000" and how we don't really no how negan and maggie end up in NYC but i guess the spin off will explain that
however! The episode was fast and i liked that, we needed it to be quick and full of action and they did a lot with the time they had, Rositas death was brutal (when she busts out of the horde it was unexpecting) and we had to relive it like 4 times which did not help my emotions but was gripping and hurt the viewer watching her deal with the fact.
Another great aspect, the music was spot on, each scene was perfect with the scores provided for them!
Now for the main bit...Rick, finally he's back on screen although it wasn't in the eyes of the main group it still was recognition and context of where he is and what he's been doing (running from the crm). Just to see him and michonne on screen though was OVERWHELMING, my tears streamedddd hard!!
Everything being said this episode was a great concluder and a great episode, i'd give it an imdb score of 10 but specifically a 9.7.
Game of Thrones: Hardhome (2015)
The Best Episode of Game of Thrones so far
By the end of the episode i had tears in my eyes purely for the overwhelming nature of this episode and I think i had my hand over my mouth for the entirety of the battle...
This episode delivers a cinematic-like masterpiece to television, no significant deaths like the usual shock we're normally delivered from the writers this late into the season but pure wide scale action that will grip you until the storm starts to hit and you get that ominous feeling.
I will gladly put this episode without a doubt at my no.1 spot so far into my binge of this show, i just have no words, i was wanting a white walker show down for a while and on my life did i get it, they may be the scariest threat i have seen on television and they're delivered in such stylistic fashion, they're unpredictable, highly overpowered and quite frankly with the army they gathered by the end of the episode unstoppable!
Undoubtedly a 10/10 episode, i'm literally still shaking 👍
The Walking Dead: What's Been Lost (2022)
hopefully tops the last 3 episodes
My predictions:
- lance will be killed but will leave the fact that the CRM is linked with him
- Pamela's screaming in the trailer i'm hoping is in this episode
- Eugene could die? But probs not
- either a semi or main character death
- Variants will be mentioned to other members of our gang
- there will be a shootout at the court or at least something jaw dropping
just hoping this episode tops the last 3, i've enjoyed them all including episode 18 the most.
Just a few things we need:
- recognition of the 50,000 commonwealth members, even just a CGI over head of the ground and everyone roaming as to me the size is intriguing and i want them to own that statement by proof
- more variant walker recognition, i'm hoping this isn't all we get, if it is i'd be fairly disappointed as many would
- lastly more character inclusion, i get they want to save money on not having all or most characters in the episodes but as this is the ending of the walking dead for good i think we deserve for it to feel more included with everyone, episode 19 had about 6 or 7 main/side characters when there is many more to be included.
Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
What was the point in the car crash lmao
Bruh , they set up this omg car crash teaser for no one to die but not only that no one was injured 😭😭 that car flipped about 7 times and was upside down like bro ??? And jsut for no one to die from it , it was a pointless build up like there was no need for it ? Am I wrong ?
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Last twenty minutes ruined
Firstly I thought the arrest on Dexter was great. Then with the questioning and dexters dark side coming out when he explains where the evidence on kurt is had me so excited. Then when Dexter realises he needs an out he kills Logan which I thought was unnecessary yet I still had hope that it would come down to a big chase and Dexter being caught however the final payoff was Dexter being killed by Harrison? WHAT! I honestly thought it was gonna be Dexter taken to Miami infront of everyone all the evidence being layed down to that in fact Dexter was the BHB all along everyone's faces shocked but no and it was just a poor ending again, like we didn't even get Batistas reaction to seeing Dexter or any of Miami metro it was just a shame and a waste of a series.
