City on Fire (2023)

A very good story
16 June 2023
I like many things about City on Fire. The setting, the cinematography, the actors - especially Chase Sui Wonders - who plays the girl, that connects all the parts of the story in a clever way and has many layers to her, which I love to uncover with each episode.

Other characters are cool too, but I won't be explaining here why and who they are, you should find it out for yourself. The plot, the story is very good and each episode I was watching with a great interest, how it all will come together and what else will happen. You should watch with focus as there is some jumping between timelines, which I personally like, but I know it's not everyone's taste.

Overall, very good, very solid tv series I can recommend.

I love it, I love the horror vibes we get here

The show has a lot of strong points, starting with a each of the girls who really have their own personality and feel like their own persona, the (much more than in original PLL) menacing A, the story - I love the fact that we already know there will be a lot to uncover, because the mystery casts shadows for a long time (trying to avoid spoilers), to the setting and the environment, I like the darker, slightly blurry scene. I watched 3 episodes and I really love it!

Resident Evil (2022)

A very interesting and different adaptation

A different approach, showing a new and original angle to the RE universe. Wesker and Evelyn are particularly good. Some undeserved hate on Jade, just because, unlike so many other protagonists, her decisions are not always spot on.

And the rating is so low, because crybabies and purists whine, because they didn't get the exact, perfect 100% copy of what they already played in the games thousands of times - which would be like the most boring thing ever. There is nothing interesting in getting an exact copy of something that already exists.

First Kill (2022)

Absolutely amazing!

An interesting concept, it seems we already saw the concept of forbidden love, yet here it's showed in a refreshing angle, also a nice setting - Savannah is always nice. The dynamics and emotions between the main characters are very well shown. And Imani Lewis, just as in Hightown, delivers in a stunning manner. Keep watching people!

EDIT: The only laughable thing here are some of the comments, the ones trying to smear and downgrade the series and saying the good opinions must be fake - get a grip. Also these saying this and that was in Buffy - so what? If certain motives can be shown only once we wouldn't have any new movies or tv series today because everything was already shown on screen.

Awesome, enternatining movie

I read many, many Fear Street books and I think the movie created an atmosphere that is similar to the books, which I liked. The plot was interesting, with good hooks for next installments, the actors and actresses executed their roles well and the music was chosen very well.

Overall - is it a masterpiece you will remember till the end of your life? No, but it wasn't aiming at being that, not even close. I enjoyed watching it immensely and I'm looking forward to next installments.
