This show a gullibility check
22 January 2024
Once again, where to start. First off Abby Martin wants to pass herself off a an independent journalist. This couldn't be further from the truth. It doesn't require 20/20 vision to behold Abby is nothing more than a far-left activist.

The overwhelming bulk of this series aged very poorly. Abby did do a bang up job of cherry picking people to push the premise for her shows.

It's not all gloom & doom. There a few, (very, very few), episodes that had a strong premise against the globalist left. The show on Monsanto & Military Used As Lab Rats are on the right track. Sadly she carefully chooses her talking points on who is ultimately to blame. In this regard she falls flat. There are much better shows journalists have created to expose Monsanto or the horrors of the military industrial complex.

Overall this is a show that could appeal to naive, far-left activists.

Hero's......not a chance. More like thugs.

Wow, where to start. I just had to watch this mini-series based on the current events surrounding the "Lincoln Project".

This sad, made up saga portrays the leaders of the Lincoln Project as Republican "never Trumpers". If you dig just a little bit you might just find that to be a fallacy. Many of people in this group are part of the "radical left" and seem to specialize in intimidation. (Doesn't sound very heroic to yours truly).

The bipartisan third party political enterprise "No Labels" filed a complaint with the DoJ in January of 2024. No Labels alleges that a group of activists (Lincoln Project), opportunists and party officials has illegally intimidated and harassed No Labels representatives, donors and potential candidates.

No Labels' opponents have been using intimidation, harassment and fear for the past year to prevent the group from accessing the ballot in 2024.

No Labels also alleges the harassment has been coming mostly from the far left.

Stay tuned! I reserve the right to change my review to 1 star, if the allegation is proven to be true.

The Amber Ruffin Show: Episode #2.1 (2021)

Still Waiting.....
18 January 2024
The synopsis for this talk show is "A late-night show with just the good parts - the comedy." So when does the comedy arrive? Did I blink and miss it?

I really would have loved to give this slow motion train wreck a second star as Amber seems to be trying painfully hard to get a laugh. ...but alas endless preaching from these "new wave" of comediennes doesn't go for the laugh. Instead applause seems to be sufficient for Amber. My rating of 1 stands.

Entertainment value is non-existent. It certainly looks as though the folks at Peacock have given up on this show.

Seth Myers can be proud his show is merely the 2nd worst talk show to ever air on Peacock/NBC.

Got to take off my hat to Al
13 January 2024
It seems that I'm doubling the rating of every review here at the time of posting. Bear with me while I explain myself.

I've got to give Al some credit here. It takes a special kind of person to cook up brand new ways to be offended on a daily basis. Not an easy task for anyone.....period.

Also to take real stories and turn them into complete fabrications....well Al Sharpton has taken this to an art form. He's done it for decades to boot. He is truly the Michelangelo of this racket.

B-L-M was knocking on Al's door, vying for the title but alas they are now the laughing stock after dispersing "donations" among the leaders of the group and gifting the rest to Act Blue.

Not recommended in any way, shape or form. This needs to be rebranded as a "cringe fest comedy".

Dear...: Laird Hamilton (2022)
Season 2, Episode 8

Extreme Performance
10 January 2024
I really enjoyed this episode. Surprising as "Dear" tends to focus on "celebrities" from the far left. Many who are very successful but possess unlimited access to the victim card. I guess money & fame won't necessarily make you happy.

Not really spoiling anything as this is listed in the synopsis. Mr. Hamilton encourages someone who actually has "real struggle", to adapt his body to be able to surf. Extremely inspiring. IMHO there should be a Part 2 follow up episode.

Most episodes from "Dear" have been a complete train wreck due to politics. (Hard, hard left). This is pretty much as free from politics as you'll find from the creators of this show.

I'd much rather be entertained than preached to by Hollywood producers, writers, celebrities, activists, etc...

Highly recommend this episode.

Di-Worse-ity Training
9 January 2024
This episode had potential but failed on all levels. I thought this show was supposed to revolutionize "late night" television? Perhaps this is not the revolution viewers were waiting for...

In the storyline, there is the mention of exploring the triumphs & failures of diversity in the workplace. Sadly there was very little mention of the failures. When a "failure" was mentioned it was met with excuses.

This is extremely topical today after the pervasive academic corruption was on full display from Ivy League schools in front of congress.

At the very least there could have been some laughs in the show. Sadly there was nothing to laugh to....only people to laugh at.

Mercifully this show was not renewed as it did not deliver on its promises.

Backfired Part Deux
19 February 2022
I borrowed the title from a review in the previous show.

I'm actually glad this was made, as we receive a terrific view as to to who the people are spreading hate and divisiveness.

Shame on everyone involved in this hate filled saga.

Wow......Ouch......

The Kennedy Center needs to keep their standards high. To call this mashup atrocious would be an understatement of epic proportions. What next Nas at Ka Scala?

Even the orchestra looked bored and unengaged.

Not recommended at all.

She Inspired Others With Her Great Work....
10 January 2022
No need for spoilers here as many are quite familiar with Jane Goodall. This was the only episode in the series I personally enjoyed. The episode is well executed and is sincere. If you are not at all familiar with Jane Goodall this is a good place to start.

Ouch!!!
19 December 2021
This has aged extremely poorly. Besides the show being so one sided, it is poorly presented without facts. Lots of opinion though. There is nothing in this episode that you haven't seen anywhere else, with the exception of a different talking head. Activism disguised as "news". Shameful.

Wow. What a miserable movie. I've never seen anything like it in my life.

I also hope to never see anything like it ever again, and I wish I could unsee what I HAVE seen.
