Girlboss (2017)
Fluffy
Although at first i didn't like her, the main character kind of grows on you.
Yeah she's selfish, impulsive, kind of weird, but... those types of people are real.
So why not create a character with those traits?!? It's not like if everyone is super nice in movies, that would also happened in reality.
What I did absolutely hate, were the two last episodes, because of that idiot guy.
I hope that it happened just in the movie, and not in the real life of the woman who inspired this tv series.
For me this was something different, because it's quirky, but not to that weird/absurd point, funny, but not stupid/exaggerated funny, serious, and there certainly was some development going on.
So, all in all, I totally see it happening in real life. I kind of gotten sick of all the shows where it's stupidly obvious that that could NEVER happen to you...
The Royal Treatment (2022)
No, no, no aaaand NO
Hooorrible! Just horrible. Too bad for the main male actor and a couple of others, like the butler, who were nice. The main actress is annnooooying, faaake, fake, fake, and totally inexpressive. Her acting is stiff, forced and that constant smile is just terrible. The movie is just a huge cliche from the begining to the end, and so many cringe moments that it would take way too much time to write them all, well, actually I would have to basically tell the movie from begining to the end. I truly do not understand how netflix finances such horrendous productions. I mean, I once wanted to submit some comedy scripts, with original plots, as far as I know (I haven't seen a movie with that plot), but I came to find out they have a closed team who writes their scripts... And to me that is mind blowing. Your a ww movie platform, you're forced to kind of make movies constantly, but you rely solely on a bunch of people to come up with ideas.. Mmmhweeel this is the result. Inbreading in movie world.... Which is extremely sad, not only for the actors but especially for the public. They have 100 movies that repeat the same story over and over, but with different actors and d The Princess switch was also cringey, but this... This gets the gold medal with no efforts.
The Other Woman (2014)
Really nice
Although I don't usually like these type of movies, this one was really funny aaaand true especially in the days of tnder and other carp like that. Instead of evolving people are behaving more and more like animals not being able to keep it in their pants.
So at least... You can laugh about it. And this movie manages to do that, to make you laugh.
I really loved the trio that formed to fight against Mr I love to put it anywhere I can.
Shall We Dance? (2004)
Pooor married men..
The movie is nice, but the whole idea is so irritating... And the question the girl asks, why didn't you do this with mom... That's the whole thing.
He like many other men, do absolutely nothing after getting married, taking everything for granted while the wife works, cleans, cooks and takes care of the children.
And although they have much more spare time... They do nothing and then feel booored and in need of the good ol' fun times, doing the same thing Gere did, by jumping on another woman, that is care free.
And while his wife is tired and lonely and in need to be appreciated as a woman, he goes... Dancing with someone else because heeeey the oldie back home is not worth asking out... Oh boohoo poor married men....
I Don't Know How She Does It (2011)
So many "critics"...
People have forgotten how to simply enjoy a movie! Everyone analyses everything, criticisms being their favorite thing to do while being oooover dramatic with even the simplest subjects.
This movie was really nice. It had a calm vibe, even though everyone is running. But no sex, no swearing, no violence, no special super effects or bla bla bla. Just a movie about life.
Yeah I don't really like Sarah, she has a certain fakeness in all her movies, but meeeh. Nothing that bad to give 1 star and start talking about something that is fictional like my life depended on it.
They don't make movies like this anymore. They try but it feels absolutely fake. So to me... This is a movie I would gladly see again.
