Gripping and exciting
2 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This show is worth bingeing. The amount of betrayal, justification to advance oneself sort of defines the family in the end, from a normal American Midwestern family, forced or chosen to commit the actions they did, on many phases. Luck also had something to do with it. They get away with things. Where's the limit ultimately when one is ready to murder, exploit, lie and sacrifice close ones while feigning ignorance?! It is an intense show and I loved it. Jason Bateman had always been one of my favorite actors and when this turned out to be his directorship, it was like hitting the jackpot for me. Wonderful cast and great storytelling with nail biting tension. Highly recommended.

Hate Glory's character
2 April 2024
I'm dragging this just so to complete. Episode one was fantastic but it's super draggy the rest of it. Glory's character is flat out annoying and one dimensional. Jack as well, can't say I like Gibney much too. It is a disappointment because this is one of my favorite directors and actors Jason Bateman. He was great in comedies and Ozarks. Wish he had more screen time. I love Ben Mendelsohn too usually (Bloodlines) but he is very weak in this show. I don't know what the deal is with Paddy Considine and if those scenes were necessary. Granted, I am at episode 7 at the moment and will finish the series tonight but so far boring and disappointing.

Botched scene in finale
1 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The storyline was good and it showed a different kind of lifestyle drag queens live. The male lead was very convincing and good looking. The only gripe I had was the final scene when he decided to sing live for the audience and there was a standing microphone initially then it disappeared when he started dancing to a song that was not paused. It was very stark and clear mis editing.

Overall, the supporting actor had shown he is full of self loathing and it manifested into violence and ultimately killing his own wife when he was found out. Does not surprise me on that action. I am happy with the conclusion of this episode.

Massive headache and traumatic for me
1 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's like EVERY OCCASION with my one side of the family. I felt like I was there again. Had to take 3 painkillers for developing a tremendous amount of headache watching this episode. Jamie Lee Curtis' acting and statement of self-pity emanates intimately with myself, "making everything beautiful for everyone but nobody makes things beautiful for me".

The dinner scene also reminded me of "August : Osage County" with Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep. Every actor in this episode was fantastic!!

Surreally, I had to pause and rewind the episode several times because the scenes and pettiness and bitterness resonated so much with me my brain's kind of shut off or down or out due to multiple complex traumas reflected in this 'background' story. Epic!

Surprised this won 7 categories in Oscars
15 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's so nonsensical and random , no proper plot, cheesy like typical Asian show, very disappointed especially when it won Oscar's best picture and best actress, supporting actor, screenplay etc. Couldn't stand it less than halfway through the show.

Is this the kind of Asian comedy people expect? Maybe that's why I don't watch Asian shows because they tend to be super nonsensical and corny. I seriously don't get the links from one scene to another. Even on the trailer part I was already disinterested but because it won so many Oscar's prizes I thought I had to watch it definitely. Maybe someone can explain to me what the whole thing is about. It is really gibberish to me.

Depicts harsh and tough terrain for truckers
6 May 2022
Makes me respect truckers even more. The kind of weather conditions and to think on their feet and work together to overcome multiple challenges. Of course this might be exaggerated but it is some good action. Enjoyed it very much.
