Excellent Storytelling
2 September 2021
Layering a story in film often leaves the viewer disappointed because some of the layers aren't sufficiently resolved. That's not the case for Drawn Back Home. The script presents a complex mix of personal and societal phenomena woven so well together that it stirs the viewer's heart first with tension and angst, then follows by closing the cognitive loop through affective resolution...not only for the main storyline, but for the multiple subplots as well. Well done, Thomas Awrey...very, very well done!
