Aseudal Yeondaegi: Episode #1.12 (2019)
A bit boring
I really can't stand when shows try to reinvent the wheel, so hard. I know this village is not keen to the outside world like horse riding, but planting crops? It's was repetitive and boring. I watched first 4 episodes, and then fast forward through 10. Then just skipped to the end. Biggest issue is the main character was boring. He couldn't fight or anything and he was supposed to be as strong as those creatures at the beginning? I kept thinking when is he going to learn? Going to get a mentor to teach him to fight? Nothing. He sucked. I lost patience. Couldnt stand it anymore. And he didn't have much victory throughout. Too many losses leads to dissatisfaction. That's why I jumped to the end, hoping that payoff would be good. Still nothing.
I would say they could have left the boy out of the story because Taragon alone carried that story. Because the boy did nothing with his special abilities. Yeah the save my village storyline would be lost but then we wouldn't have to meet the villagers who can't plant crops and who I couldn't stand to reinvent the wheel. Awful to sit through hours of that.
Cursed (2020)
Slow plot main character is boring
The main character has special powers and she uses it for stupid stuff like get bullies off her in the village. But when she ventures out into the real world she doesn't use it. She's weak and annoying. Relying on a sword to sword fight? She doesn't even need the sword. The best part was the end when Merlin wielded the sword. But Merlin was annoying as a drunk, just weak. The supporting characters were awesome, especial her village friend that was on a ship. However, the 2 main characters were just awful and boring and slow.
So much unnecessary killing was also annoying. Word of advice, use her powers, make her more interesting, and speed up the story. I binged watch up to episode 7, fast forwarding through the slow scenes, and then jumped to episode 10 because I could no longer handle it. Unfortunately her falling in the water was like 🤷♀️ good riddance. But Merlin wielding that sword, speechless. I want more of that. I see there no more episodes. Yeah wonder why? 🤷♀️ 😴
Wish (2023)
A different route
I have 2 complaints: This story needs more at stake. A wish to be a great musician? Is kinda whack. Yeah there's a place for it , but that wish doesn't make the story stand out at all. Stakes are too low. 2nd, the king's power is too immense. Too great where there's no reason to be. My daughter, 9, was terrified. And I was *shaking my head* entire time like for real, he's that powerful? The star comes down and makes animals talk. Cute, but pointless. They offer no information to the story, except some entertainment. Not quite like Alice in Wonderland rhymes, I wish, but more like a mediocre dull version of talking animals.
I'm a writer and I believe the story should have went to where Asha makes her wish (making the stakes high because she'll forget, right?) and somehow she's special and brave that she senses something wrong and fights to get her wish back. Make the stakes high! And at the same time she fights for other's as well. At least in that version I would be able sympathize with her. A wish that's worth saving. Otherwise, those people's wishes are so whack. There's gotta be one individual with a wish that stands above the rest that could really do damage to make the stakes high. Maybe even flip it where the king wants a wish and he can't get what he wants either.
The supporting characters were cute but their talents wasted. Even though they were individuals, they seemed to blend together in one.
I get the concept of making her so weak and the king so powerful and the people coming together, yada...yada...but that formula is weak, wasn't executed correctly.
The suspense is there, the characters are okay, the storyline is interesting, but the execution and putting all together to make some kind of wow Maribel, Elsa, Moana story was just not there.

Black Mirror (2011)
Season 6 sucks but all the others are good
Season 6 is nothing like the rest of the other seasons, except episode 1 and 2. The rest were sucky, long cliches. Not sure what happened. There was nothing interesting about the werewolf. The beginning was so boring, I kept thinking where's the twist. Also there's always some kind of technology story going on. Nothing. Nothing original in the werewolf episode. Then the last episode was worse than any episode of Twilight Zone. Cliche. Someone finds a medallion, the world is endings , they must kill people so demon gets wings. So unoriginal it's unbelievable it's a part of Black Mirror. I would recommend all the seasons and episodes, but only the first 2 episodes in season 6. Just be prepared to know that this season is different from other seau in free as.
Biz Kimden Kaçiyorduk Anne? (2023)
Strange relationship kept me watching
The bizarre relationship between mom and daughter kept me watching. It was the strangest combo. The daughter was super strange. Seriously naive. The mom was a rich lunatic. I know someone like that, so it was fascinating to see how they tossed money around. The chase was crazy. The mom thinking someone wants her daughter...well she was right. The dad was trifling. Both women are gorgeous. I also like how it was filmed with the interviews and such. I do have to say, after the 2nd episode, I kept thinking is every other episode going to be similar with them checking in a hotel and blah blah blah. It was. But then the chase started which made it more interesting. I wanted the girl to break free and say mama is crazy, but she didn't, she was naive for too long. I'm assuming if they do a season 2, she'll find her dad. What a bizarre relationship show, but oh so true with some rich families. Sad, but true.
Sijipeuseu: The Myth (2021)
Give us information
This is a really good show. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of information. Every time the characters wanted answers from another character, they wouldn't get them. I understand withholding information, but if it's too much withholding it drives the viewer nuts. I watched to episode 6. Tired of this and those people coming after them but there's no reason for it. Because he created a teleport. This is like The Terminator. I understand stories are recycled but geez give the information to the reader some of the time. I lost interest and skipped to the last episode. I was lost with who was trying to kill them. But I kept watching and got to the scene where they're in the control room and she's asking him a question and he withholds info again. Now they traveled to the future and now I'm turning it off. I'm glad I didn't spent hours watching all 16 episodes! I would be disappointed.
Outer Banks (2020)
It's good but
The show is good. It's my second time attempting to watch it. I watched maybe 2 episodes when it first came out in 2020 then 3 years later saw it was on season 3 and started watching it all over again, this time getting to season 1, episode 6 and thinking I'm done. So I skimmed the excerpts from the rest of the episodes and deciding now I'm not going to watch anymore. The turnoff for me is the constant beat downs in front of witnesses - at the movies, parties, etc and no one says anything. These kids get beat up a lot and they can't fight, not even one win. Not even 1 kid in their group can throw down. And they resort to a gun. Losers. Or sink a boat. Double losers. There's cameras idiots. It's mind-blowing. And they make stupid moves. It's okay to make some dumb ones but this is awful and they don't learn. I was done when the MC tried to protect Sarah from her boyfriend and fell from a balcony. One idiot move after another. Of course that pushes the story forward because Sarah's father offers to become his legal guardian. But it's stupidly like that which drives me nuts to watch. And then a lot of BS with the money. The entire time I'm thinking who cares about it? This is not Goonies. Goonies I cared about them finding the gold. This show *shrug*. Overall It's a good show because the plot moves forward, some of the characters are likeable and it a treasure hunt thing. Even though I do like the cast but I can't watch anymore of the beat downs and stupidity.
The Midnight Club (2022)
Awful situation more awful
This story is sad given the situation of these young teenagers. It starts off interesting. I love the cast. Each is unique. Meeting to tell ghost stories is awesome, given their situation, wanting to be normal teenagers. However, what I can't stomach is these kids have no hope and now an entity is after them. It makes a sad story, sadder. I can't watch after the 1st episode. Yes, the girl has hope the house will help. She's there to find answers, but her determination against the sinister happenings is not forefront with what's happening. Why are these poor dying kids being tormented by an entity. Kick them when they're down? Why would I want to watch these poor dying kids die die die losing their minds. No thanks. A story is supposed to have some kind of hope. Could be survival, could be friendship. But this story has none. Just poor dying kids being tormented by entities. No thanks.
Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022)
Unlikeable characters
I'm a writer so I have to say that this story follows the 3 Act Structure. It hits all the points it needs to hit, but one big mistake...unlikeable characters and the stupidest Protagonist I've ever seen. Why does he have to be so stupid. He does nothing in the movie, absolutely nothing. Nobody does anything actually, except the villain. And the most interesting parts were the party and the toilet bowl overflowing. That's it. The jokes were fine. Breaking the 4th wall was fine, but unlikeable characters? That's a no no. Awful.
Chosen (2022)
Slow
I like it. I like all the characters but the story is slooooow. And what makes it annoying is that the group that got her involved in the first place starts to pretend she's crazy when she starts discovering stuff. Why? Isn't that the whole point of the group? That just makes me loathe the group. They could all get eaten by aliens and no one would care. Just cut them from the series. And at episode 3, I have to hang this slooow story up.
Oh and the underage drinking and sex in the bedroom while mom is home is unbelievable. Could happen, but unrealistic .
¿Quién Mató a Sara? (2021)
Flashbacks are jarring
This is a great who done it story and it had me on the edge of my seat, however, the flashbacks are jarring. And even worse because as young kids, all the boys look the same. Awful casting. But lots of twists and turns, I give the writers that. So great story if you can withstand the flashbacks. I watched all of season 1, but will not watch the rest. I instead looked up season 3 spoilers and found out what happened to Sara. I think that's part of the problem, as the audience, I'm rooting for Sara for justice, until I find out that she wasn't the "good" person everyone thought she was. So now "who killed Sara" becomes, "who cares." Also the sex scenes drove me nuts. Sex scenes and flashbacks just drew out the craziness and prolonged the plot. I'm a writer, so I think to myself, would I have did that? No, because I personally wouldn't want to read that crap. I would have put the book down a long time ago. The characters are likable and great dialogue. I mean I care about them, just don't care about Sara. So yeah it's enough for me to stop at Season 1.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Fav part- red light green light
I just can't get enough of the games! What a mess! I hated saw, liked hunger games, loved this show. I loved all the characters. I didn't understand why they had those side stories with the harvesting bodies and the cop. Really added nothing to the story. Otherwise this show is so omg it'll keep you watching especially when all the bodies fall in red light green light. What a wild ride! I write novels and this writer did something in this story that I can never do to my stories. Kill them off! Lol.
Shadow and Bone (2021)
Um...why does everyone look the same?!
Super big turn off. They claim the girl looks different and I'm trying to figure out how, like maybe she has a mole on her face or something? Nope. Not much skin variety in the story. Also when in time does this story take place? During the Oregon Trail? There's too many characters. None of it makes sense. She has the power to stop the black stuff yet everyone wants to kill her and call her a witch? What?! Aren't they all trying to get through that thing? I'm lost and I'm only on episode 3. Lost or bored, can't really tell. I downloaded a sample of the book to see if there are descriptions about the black stuff and when she unleashes the white power. Um the descriptions are trivial. Not much detail. I'm like what?! I'm not sure how this became popular.
See (2019)
Twin personalities need help
The premise is awesome. Although I do find myself questioning the blind fighting each other. I suspend my belief but still get taken out of the story during fighting scenes because it feels unbelievable. How come they don't accidentally strike their own? A fighting scene is chaotic with all kinds of sounds. Whatever.
However, Momoa is awesome and I enjoy watching his fighting skills. He's awesome and convincing.
The Queen is repulsive, especially when it comes to sexual stuff. Makes me want to gag. She's good in her role but unfortunately I don't care for her and fast forward through her dialogue to get to scenes that matter.
The twin's personalities are super bland. I do like the girl a lot. She's growing into her character and growing stronger every day. But the boy? He's so weak. To be Momoa's son is a disgrace. He should have grown into a man after he was kidnapped toward the middle, but at the end of season 1, he was weak. He doesn't have to be a fighter. He used to be book smart as a kid but even that redeeming quality has disappeared. All those books within grasp and he didn't even pick one up. Give him some personality. He stands there like a wall of weak blandness. He has no personality and I find myself not caring for anything he has to say either. If his character disappeared off the show I wouldn't miss it. Another way to make his personality stronger is give him a stronger bond with his twin sister. I think she wouldn't care if he fell off the planet as well since he adds nothing to story or her life. He did have a little bit of personality when he talked to the girl they helped who traveled with them. So there's ways to make a character interesting to where the watcher cares. Otherwise...
His half brother has more galls. Although I have no idea what the half brother wants in life? A mama? The twin's mama? Lol
The rest of the cast carries the story.
A logic bomb. Supposedly these twins are highly wanted because of their sight, yet they find others who are sighted. So what makes them special? They are the princess's kids? So what? I'll continue watching to see if the story amounts to anything.
