The Broken Hearts Gallery (2020)
Cliched
Cute and nice movie. It feels, however, like they just checked the internet on what were the "hot topics" (lgbtq+ rights, reproductive rights, skin care routines, etc) and threw them randomly so it feels quite forced.
Valeria (2020)
Enjoyable but lame
This show is entertaining. The actresses dress very nicely and the actors are hot. The plot and the acting are bad and its difficult to sympathize or relate to any of the characters.. relationships seem quite forced even among the 4 friends since I hardly notice any real chemistry. Finally, the soundtrack is good but the songs are placed at scenes were they don't really make any sense at all!!
Good on Paper (2021)
Nice but unrealistic
This movie starts out fine. It keeps you interested and its funny. However, somewhere along the second half, it becomes super unrealistic and exaggerated.
Its is enjoyable thought, and provides some nice reflections!
Las chicas del cable (2017)
Very unrealistic
The series start very well and it seems like its focused on women struggle in the '20s. According to me, it loses it focus through the series as the girls get involved in ridiculous and completely unrealistic situations.
Also, some scenes are really bad acted. By the end of the 2nd season when they are kidnapping Lidia to force an abortion on her, I truly believed that the whole kidnapping was staged (since parallel to this, she had to escape from the police). But no, she was really getting kidnapped but the acting was extremely bad. This was the breaking point for me.
The music is also so out of place. Who made this choice? It takes away all seriousness the series can pretend to have.
Unorthodox (2020)
Impeccably made
The acting and direction are impeccable, it is a delight to watch! Relations seem genuine. The only thing I would say it's annoying its how unrealistic some situations are. Specially everything that happens once Esty is in Germany, I mean wtf??
Friends from College (2017)
Watch it if you've got NOTHING else to do
Few genuine laughs. I felt some episodes (even the whole plot I might say) were written by different people and then just put together without any logic
Insatiable (2018)
WTF?
I've got mix feelings for this series. On one hand, it's OK for keeping you entertained and on the other, it looks like it's been written like on-the-go. There are a lot of plot holes, some events don't connect and the acting seems very forced sometimes. Only watch it if you've got literally nothing else to do
Justin and the Knights of Valour (2013)
Modern meets Medieval
This movie was really cliché in all its ways, also it was really weird: first of all, it had a lot of historical inconsistencies (the use of remote controls, the existence of law and lawyers) is impossible considering the historical setting (medieval times) but lets say that kids don't notice this so its OK.
On the other hand, dialogue wasn't funny enough considering the potential it had b/c of its cast, I had few genuine laughs, everything was kind of forced but definitely the worst was the amount of clichés, sometimes I felt the need to leave the cinema, sometimes I felt bored to death Maybe for little kids this movie is OK, but I had a few of them around me and they didn't laugh either. I would recommend this, only if you are really bored and you want to watch it on the TV (but don't buy the DVD!)
