The Suicide Squad (2021)
DCEU can learn something from this
Characters are great and likeable, the cinematography are great, the story is adventurous, fun and crazy. This is how I want all of my DC films to feel like, be weird and fun, try to tell a story instead of trying to fit Batman and Superman in everything.
It's a shame that a lot of the characters *spoiler* at the very start of the film, but aside from that I have no complaints.
What If...?: What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger? (2021)
What if... the writers searched "Captain America" on Wattpad?
As much as I want to love this idea, the entire episode felt very bland. The only reason I could complete this was because I'm a Marvel fan.
The concept sounds nice on paper, but the execution feels like it's nothing more than a Fanfic.
The first Captain America movie suffered by cramming the Origin story and the entire WW2 into a movie but it still managed. This one on the other hand is barely 30 minutes long with a very childish script.
Hope the other episodes are better.
Doctor Who: The Shakespeare Code (2007)
I name thee, Fantastic!
Doctor who never ceases to amaze me. A very underrated Doctor Who episode having brilliant and charismatic dialogue with lots of clever humour and wordplay.
Did I mention there's Shakespeare and witchcraft?
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
An Incomplete Masterclass
An emotional rollercoaster that is guaranteed to keep you at the edge of seat. The characters are great and despite not lasting long, form an everlasting impression on the audience, the show also touches on the subject of human nature and all that. My personal favorite character is Sangwoo, his development was just (chef's kiss).
There's also well planned foreshadowing leading upto the big plot twist at the end that may not be visible at first watch.
Although 9 episodes wasn't enough for this show, a lot of things were left unanswered like the In-Ho storyline, where does the organisation go from here, who they really are and what direction Gi-Hun's character will take from here. All of which are hinting for an exciting sequel.
Although I'm slightly worried that S2 might not live up to the hype since well, everybody Died and the show has to build an even stronger cast of characters from scratch. Will the showrunners be able to succeed? We'll see.
For now let's just make Netflix to fix their awful subtitles, it makes the dialogue look bad.
Kota Factory (2019)
S1 is great, but S2 is on a whole other level
The first season was mostly about showing students how about balance school life while teaching you life lessons, and it does that very well.
But Season 2 takes all of that and improves in every way - the direction, story, characters, the change in tone and the dialogue.
