Never seen a series of Super Sentai before (or even a season of Power Rangers) but a friend recommend that this was a good one to start with, so here I am! While not perfect, I found the show to be super enjoyable. It wasn't high art or anything, but it did offer up some deeper characters than I would have first expected, as well as a fairly gripping story. There are a lot of filler episodes, but the ones where the plot moves along are really worth it.

This film is so bad, and yet I cannot help but recommend it to everyone I know. It MUST be seen! It's that special kind of bad where you just can't look away.

A friend recommended this to me recently, and while I didn't think I would care for it, I wound up binging the entire series. Watching the plotline slowly unfold until the show goes from totally episodic to totally serialized is a really interesting journey to go on. I really began to get absorbed in both the characters and story after a while. If your interested, I recommend checking out the first ten episodes (don't worry they're short).

Despite being over two years now, I can't help but think back to this show. It's not every day we get something so well crafted and lovingly made, and it's a shame that we never got a second season to wrap things up. I'm not normally one to gush over fantasy worlds, but this one draws me in unlike any other. I guess I just wish that I had gotten to spend more time there.

While this show can be very "monster of the week" it's formula is satisfying, and its characters and plotlines are quite charming. I don't think traditional Yu-Gi-Oh fans will get a lot out of it, but for people who found the other series dull or two repetitive, it can be quite fun.

While by no means a masterpiece, I feel like this show perhaps takes a little too much flack. By no means is it great, but it is a serviceable, if not mediocre, action show for kids. Compared to the other action cartoons of the time, it certainly doesn't hold a candle, but there are certainly moments where it shows it's potential. Time and time again, there will be moments where the writers set up the possibility for some really great character based story telling, but they never seem to capitalize on it.

Overall, not the worst, but as far as kids shows go, not as good as it can be.
