Transformers (2007)
More Male bashing
Hollywood does it again. I don't know why this is the case, but it seems inevitable that Hollywood seems to just be on a roll as far as their agenda of white male bashing. The lead character is a male wimp at the start of the movie, He is in lust with a high school female that doesn't even know him, but is the girlfriend of the jock football star who is of course a jerk, more stereotypical stuff. She of course turns out to be a top wiz mechanic with cars and engines, including the ability to not only operate a tow truck flawlessly but do it in reverse while hooked up to one of the broken down transformers. Amazing chic! Another female is a college student ( I think) and she is smarter than all the military personnel combined. The movie really slams the men in it. Could have been a great movie but Hollywood just can't leave off feeding an unsuspecting public their underlying opinions. Too bad, good graphics and a decent plot.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007)
Total MInd garbage
This movie is typical Adam Sindler. Absolute garbage. Adolescent tripe. Maybe if you are fourteen you might enjoy this movie, but even then you would have to be BRAIN DEAD! Come on, are you kidding me. More Hollywood crap pushing the envelope. Where are the good movies that actually engage the mind? These guys can't even act. I suppose you watch this to get a naughty little snicker. It is sad that this is what passes for humor with the obligatory fat kid and his fart, to the hot chicks and stupid sex humor. I don't consider myself a prude, heck, I grew up in the 70's and did the drugs etc. but c'mon... Pure junk! Well, I was I going to quit here but they won't let me, I guess there is a rule that a comment has to have ten lines. So, shall I say it any clearer... Find a better movie, any movie without Adam Sindler would be an upgrade!
Home of the Brave (2006)
What a tragedy
The tragedy of this movie is that it is so blatant in it's disregard for the truth. Just like our media. All one sided. Only shows the negative of war. Some might say there is no positive of war, and in some way that may be true. But the opposite is just as true, for instance if it weren't for war, we in America would all be speaking Japanese or German. The saddest truth is the lack of respect in America for our troops. I blame president Bush for this because he told the American public to go on about your business as usual. That is the greatest mistake in this war. We should have annihilated our enemy in one fell swoop. But instead we tie our own hands worrying about what other, lesser nations might think of us. Our enemy didn't care about collateral damage. If we would have just wiped them all out in one gigantic blast.... No troops would be coming home maimed or in body bags. Ahh but back to this movie, terrible acting, terrible plot, and totally biased.
