Gone Are the Days (2018)
Good, Slow Burn.
This is not an action packed, shoot 'em up. This is a slow burn with a great storyline, almost in line with a Greek tragedy. Decent characters, good acting and sprinkled with foreshadowing, and suspense. The main character is nailed by Henrikson, who just doesn't want to waste away and die in bed. He wants to go out on his terms, with his dignity. If you can just settle in, and take the first part of the film for what it is, you'll enjoy the story as it unfolds. I got this movie in a bargain bin, and I was thoroughly surprised at how good it turned out. Berenger has a small, but important role, and plays it well. Don't give up on it! It's worth it!
The Batman (2022)
Batman, as written by Frank Miller
Overall I enjoyed this movie. It gave me Watchman meets Batman vibes. Both of which I enjoy. A bit slow, and a bit underdeveloped, but overall worth watching.
The Simpsons: Poorhouse Rock (2022)
Above all else, it's relatable
Ok, ok. It was not a comedic episode. So what!? It was relatable to our current situation. We all work more than our parents did, and have less to show for it than ever before. I'm not saying I agree with the political views portrayed, but the message is clear nonetheless. The middle class is dead, and it'll take a miracle to revive it. For that, I have to rate it higher than the rest of you.
Hudson Hawk (1991)
Cheesy Fun 90s Comedy
This is a great pass the time, cheesy comedy. Don't look for substance, just enjoy the ride and bad jokes.
