Read My Lips (2001)
What A Wonderful Film
16 July 2004
I watched this movie over the span of two days. The whole day after watching the first part, I was distracted by recollections of the imagery and just basic feel of the movie and couldn't wait to see the rest.

It was so refreshing to see a movie with a captivating plot and sensuality without excessive sexuality. The directing and editing tied everything together wonderfully. Definitely a nail-biter towards the end and fast-paced enough to keep one interested but not so much so that it leaves one confused.

I can't think of anything negative to say about it. If only they made movies this good in America these days.....

Class Reunion (1982)
Awesome Movie!
12 July 2002
This movie is one of my favorites!

All of the characters are hilariously developed and the actors who play them do a wonderful job. I've loved this movie since I was a kid and every once in a while I quote from it or think of one of the characters (my favorite being Delores).

It's a shame that more people haven't heard of this movie. It's somewhat hard to find but if you seek it out it is well worth it!

Amazing movie

Horror is my favorite genre of movie and I pride myself on having seen many a flick but rarely would I actually consider a horror movie "scary"...until this one. After watching it the first time I was creeped out, then the second time I realized it's not just creepy, it's downright frightening.

13 Ghosts has all of the elements of a, dare I say, perfect horror movie. It's got the blood and gore, the tragedy, the suspense, a madman (or 2 or 3 or 4), great dialogue (though Shannon Elizabeth's character was given a few really corney lines), humor, and scenes that will stay in your head for days. It's the kind of movie that leaves you just a little freaked out to be in the dark alone.

Wonderful cast. Matthew Lillard gave a very impressive performance and made me feel like the role was made just for him. He creates some good moments of comic relief, if even for a moment.

Above all else with this movie, I am in praise of the premise and set of this movie. Very original idea (even though it's a remake) and you can tell that the set designer worked REALLY hard on this flick. And it paid off. I only wish this movie got more attention when it was out in theaters. I think this is one of the best horror flicks ever made...at least in my opinion.

This movie was pretty bad

I thought that this movie was pretty lame. If you're looking for cheesey, you may like this. I, myself, don't mind a fair amount of cheese, but this was ridiculous. The progression of the movie bored me and the storyline was very weak.

The only thing entertaining about this movie was the day-glo zombies, but even that isn't reason enough to see this flick.

Ok, so the movie didn't scare me. but i thought that it was well done. it had some very good horror elements to it. good ambience. i thought snoop was actually pretty good in the movie, too. it was entertaining and that's all the really matters, isn't it?

Good Horror Flick
1 March 2002
This movie really creeped me out. I saw it as a teen in the theater and was actually spooked as I walked to the car to leave. It's got blood, suspense, and a pretty good tragic storyline; very good elements for a horror movie. I haven't seen it in years, but even today, you will never catch me saying Candyman 3 times, lol!

This one is a classic
1 March 2002
This movie used to scare the Hell out of me when i was a kid. i've now seen it so many times that it doesn't really scare me anymore, but the movie, itself is a classic. a must see for horror lovers. it's not campy like so many other movies and it's genuinely creepy. many folks nowadays who are jaded by all the recent teen-scare movies may not fully appreciate it because there are no "cute boys", but if you want to watch a movie at night with the lights off...the kind that will have you a bit hesitant to look over your shoulder, you should see this.

the house is so forever in my psyche, too, that i could never live in a house with windows like that, lol!

The Lottery (1996 TV Movie)
this is a weird movie
24 October 2001
i saw this on TV one night years ago and the first thing to pop into my mind was "how are they getting away with showing this on tv?". it was just very bizarre in a deeply disturbing way.

i can't not recommend it because of the mere fact that the movie was very powerful to me...powerful enough to have me still disturbed by some images years later. but it's also hard to recommend it because it's just so messed up.

not a blood and gore movie. but some of the visual imagery was deeply troubling to me just because of the psychological impact.
