A great gateway horror for tweens/the younger crowd not yet ready for the intense, R-rated stuff. Very reminiscent of ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK and GOOSEBUMPS in all the best ways.

This one caught me off guard: An intelligent sci-fi thriller with a clever script on a budget?? Who woulda thunk it?? There is so much heart in this movie, from the script and performances on-screen to what is obviously a labor-of-love from all of the creatives behind the camera. And not all of those hearts manage to stay in people's chests -- when things go bad in this movie, they get BLOODY. It's ROBOCOP meets THE OFFICE and it gives the audience what I like to call "a full meal": thrills, chills, laughs, tears...AUTOMATION is a micro-budget miracle.
