The Mind of the Married Man (2001)
Great TV. Awesome comedy.
This is a great show. I love it, and I know that in time this will be seen as one of the top comedies on HBO. I find it so funny. It's on Signature now in reruns and coming back this summer and I for one can't wait. Mike Binder and Sonya Walger give such a realistic look at the imperfection of marriage. I am a big fan of his and wrote a review here of his HBO movie and I feel that I should weigh in on his show as well. He's getting the guy side of marriage an airing and I know that upsets a lot of people but my wife and I think it's funny and healthy for this side to be shown. ( I sit through Sex in the CIty with her, it's only fair) Watch the show. It's brilliant.
Londinium (2001)
Excellent work
An excellent movie about a real group of people in London. Funny, charming. Well made. Colin Firth and Mike Binder are great together. Good comedy. Irene Jacob and Mariel Hemingway are also good and Stephen Fry the comic genuis is in this and he almost steals he movie in three quick scenes. Can't wait until it comes out in DVD.
The Sex Monster (1999)
Superb farce
Mike Binder, who many know from 'The mind of the married man' has all the talent and capabilities of a young Albert Brooks or a Gene Wilder. This sex farce is right on and a perfect look at a the male scenario of his wife and a girl getting it on going bad. A fast (ninety some minutes) funny, (Hemingway is the funniest I have ever seen her) and fresh, (this is almost like a french film) Awesome little comedy. Don't know how I ever missed it but I rented it after seeing the TV series and laughed like crazy. Watch this with a date. You'll get the topics flowing all night. Also watch for cameos from Kevin Pollack and Steve Baldwin. Loved it!!!!!!!
