Reading My Movies
3 May 2024
I wasn't aware that I would need to read subscripts throughout the movie. The movie is in Italian so you will need to focus in on the subtitles. I find this very annoying.

I know this story is a good one and has been told many times. I do think Angel Studios did an excellent job with this move, direction, production, etc. But, still I don't want to read my movies, I would rather watch them.

It is a good story and faith based. It is a real and true story, sad, depressing, encouraging, inspirational, enlightening, etc. I only give my rating as I hate foreign movies and hate to read subtitles. Like on NetFlix where you can't filter to U. S. movies only.

Seriously?
10 February 2024
I have never seen this movie. It pops up on my streaming service, so I thought I would try it. It is Steven Spielberg so how could I go wrong?

The first part of the movie is great. It then turns into something totally different and by the end is even something else more horribly different. There are three different movies here.

This is a complete waste of 2 1/2 hours. They tried to make a modern day Pinocchio and badly failed. Pinocchio itself is a terrible, dark, and horrifying story, so why even try to follow it? This is even worse, much worse.

It turns from almost wholesome into very raunchy into a liberal statement, into something other worldly. And through it all, it makes no sense... I guess some say it could be considered artsy, well again it is Kubrik who makes sick stories that are considered art by the misled.

I would not recommend wasting your time on this.

So far so good except the drama
29 December 2023
This show has a great premise. Seems to be the mixture of many good shows and stories. From I Am Legend to Under the Dome to Nightmare on Elm Street to Stranger Things, and many more.

The drama between the two lesbians ruins the show though. I know the almost full episodes of their drama is meant to satisfy the LGBQT+whatever, but it adds absolutely nothing to the show or the story. It is just plugged in to be 'diverse'.

They do have issues with introducing things in the show for a few episodes and then not returning to them as if they did not ever happen.

I am through all of the episodes now and waiting on season 3. I'll just have to continue fast forwarding through all of the unnecessary lesbian drama.

Nicholas Cage is a Legend
15 December 2023
This movie was cheesey through most of it. There were some very good actors in it, with Nick being a great actor even in these B movies he chose to pay off his debt. He still gets at least $1M a movie. I think he is making his way back to A status with Pig and some others.

But focusing on this movie, the story was fun, Nick was fun, and as I said there are some good actors. What fails this movie is the horrible directing and the horrible production. The lighting, angles, bad guys standing trying to look tough, etc. Made it not as good as it could have been. Actually like a TV movie or worse.

I would recommend it for entertainment but don't expect anything like Mission Impossible or Ocean 11.

Ominous
12 December 2023
The pace and ominousness was reflective of Signs. I watched it until the end, well until the credits came up at the end. There was no climax. The daughter knows something is wrong from the beginning and acts as a solemn non-trusting figure in the story. There are many weird things that happen and it keeps it somewhat interesting. Directing was horrible in my opinion. Actors are good, but all were awkward characters. Could not stand the musical store throughout. It was a good enough movie, interesting enough, to have on the background while working or doing something else. I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Closest to the True Story of Paul I Have Seen
10 December 2023
This is the closest I have seen in a movie to the story of Paul and Stephen. I would say the production was B rated, but the acting was surprisingly good. The story followed scripture fairly well and presents a good representation of Paul and also our Jesus.

Saul, becoming Paul as the believer, is well presented in this movie. I would recommend it for any believer. As stated this is the closest I have seen, but I am sure there could be better. But, thankfully we have this movie.

Some of the cast to me were a little unbelievable. For example Mary of Magdelene was Spanish, that is not accurate. Others were very European, still not right. But they did act well and the story was well told.

George & Tammy (2022–2023)

Tammy
21 January 2023
This show should be called Tammy, not George and Tammy. It is extremely one sided and really only about Tammy. Anything about George is put in a very dark light and I don't think this is the way it was. Tammy is not the saint. She did hit fame with the one song that she wrote about George, but George was an amazing artist. An amazing vocalist, song writer, etc. Everything in this show depicts him as a scumbag, criminal, abuser, etc. I really do not care for the actor for George, although the actress for Tammy was pretty good. Again, I would like to see a show from George's perspective. This is a very, very biased portrayal from Tammy only. This should be called 'Tammy'.... Realized it made a little sense due to the fact that the actress for Tammy is the Executive Producer of the show..... Disappointing.

Could have been likeable
25 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Almost a perfect romance. They did a great job throughout. One of the characters mentions being a mom soon. Then at the end of the movie she is marrying another woman. In Australia. This ruined the whole movie. They could have left this out. This is for Hollywood only. Another LGBQ vehicle. Wasted my time.

Uniquely Surprising
7 November 2021
Don't let anyone tell you about this movie. Do not watch a trailer. Go into the movie completely not expecting anything. This was a very surprising unique movie. I have not seen such a unique movie in a long time. I did not like some of the content, but it was real for the time. The movie takes you all over the place and progresses perfectly. I highly recommend it.
