Executive producers and hosts shouldn't be judges too.
13 April 2024
I'm finally calmed down enough to write an end of series review. I still can't believe the winner actually won this, they made the least amount of effort throughout the series and I literally laughed at their finished tea set as it was so bad and in my opinion there was no way they could win the final with what they'd made.

BUT Seth came back with his judges hat on and apparently a locking lid was all that was needed to impress him and win this. Believe it or not a locking lid actually makes up for a massive crack, awful glaze, boring idea and terrible finish. I'd just like to say that other two contestants did a great job.

Seth ruined this show but as was pointed out to me it is his show so he can do whatever he wants and choose who he wants to win it even if they don't deserve it.

Watch it on a cold stormy night....
10 April 2024
If you've ever seen and liked any of the screensavers on YouTube featuring a spooky house on a stormy night with lighting and a cosy log fire burning then this movie is for you as it is a little like that but with a who done it story added on. I think the older Mythica's were much better, I definitely enjoyed them more but I had to watch Stormbound in two parts as I was falling asleep. So I can't really recommend it unless you are a Mythica fan. Nowadays mateur special effects CGI typed stuff can be really impressive unfortunately the special effects in this movie were some of the worst I've ever seen. As for the main actors I liked the slave girl and Stranger they did a good job and the dwarf was good too.

Seth ruined it
5 March 2024
Only watched one episode so far. I'm taking 2 points off because of Seth Rogen. Apart from that it wasn't a bad start and the competitors seem pretty good. The building they are using is awful, but they have tried to warm it up with some fake beams and reclaimed timber so it looks a little nicer and more like the original programme. But they need to stop showing that close-up of the outside of the building and concentrate more on the much nicer wider shot and water. The judges will hopefully get better as the series progresses and when they haven't got to deal with Rogen taking the limelight and going on about smoking weed. Yes his laugh is terrible and annoying.

I deducted another point as the wrong person went at the end mostly because of Rogen not liking/getting their work, I think the judges would've made a better choice if they were allowed. But maybe there were other reasons to keep the obvious candidate for leaving Ep1 in the competition ?

Edit after Ep2

I'm going to up my score from 4 to 6 after watching Ep2. It was much better and very much helped by a lot less Rogen to put up with. Although I did like the fact in one take Rogen was going to wire his pot off before he had finished it. (The bad editing of the Second challenge demonstration revealed he forgot the notch in the base in one of his attempts)

In reply to another reviewer I'd just like to say yes Executive Producer Seth Rogen may be responsible for bringing pottery throw down to a rusty warehouse in Canada but that doesn't mean he had to be on the programme.

But Seth did say....

"l must be on television at all costs."

So that kind of explains it.
