Tales from the Loop: Transpose (2020)
Season 1, Episode 2
10/10
Good episode with a great ending, loving the loop.
3 April 2020
I found this episode took me back to the times I had with my best friend when we were young. Very nicely done -- with a very powerful ending -- loving how we stay in town for all the stories and the characters keep crossing paths --- ultra cool episode should be rated higher.

Perfect Blend of Sci Fi and Semi Anthology
3 April 2020
Really well done series with great pace. Very unique style of mixing anthology and ongoing plot/arc. My kind of Syfy, great character building, great music, awesome acting, directing and ultra mysterious. You cant really compare this to anything --- some elements of Black Mirror, Lost, The Leftovers and well, not fair to compare or even name other shows. Very unique -- trying to do something no other show has done that I have come across. They took out the element I hate from an anthology series but kept the premise anthology based. I hate getting emotionally vested and loving characters then never hearing about them again. This show not only has a completely different story line in each episode but it somehow keeps all the stories rolling in one giant ball of awesomeness. Cool Cool series you wont be disappointed the end of Episode 2 left a mighty impression on me -- best ending ever! Keep up the good loop!

Brockmire: Favorable Matchup (2020)
Season 4, Episode 1

Creepy prediction of the future.
20 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So how does this show literally predict the end of sports as we know it? When was this show written, shot and wrapped? It's crazy timing that this episode is about a virus that shut down sports as we know it. There is more going on here than we can possibly imagine.

This Marine agrees with the realism of this show - If you've bled green then you need to watch this.
17 March 2020
Never have I found a truer portrayal of what the Marine Corps is all about with all its curves and warts. There are values about the Corps I loved, there are things about the Corps which i despised (yet at the same time love these despicable things just as much as I hated them) --- The least Hollywood War/Marine Corps depiction you will ever find. Great directing, great set design, great cinematography, great acting and most of all, true to heart writing.

Once Upon a "Crime" --
17 September 2019
As most people have said, nothing happens. Sure at the end something happens for like five minutes --- but you feel toyed with, manipulated, lied to and led down a dark hole leading to nowhereland. I mean nothing at all happens for the entire movie until the end. Montage after montage of footage from other films, etc.. etc... You know what I think? There was a line in the movie stating that all good movies are about violence and murder and without it, a good movie cant be made. And this movie SUCKED for the entire time there was no violence and murder. Except for the last ten minutes where. I think this was Tarantino trying to keep a movie CLEAN -- I think he finally tried to make a movie that had nothing to do with killing or blood or crime. I see what he tried to do --- but nonetheless WOW this was really boring unless you were in Hollywood in that era and could appreciate the aesthetics --- this will bore you to death.

Hanna (2019–2021)
10/10
Captures the Spirit of the Film as well as the Film Itself
5 February 2019
Excellent Pilot for Hannah. Intense, mysterious, raw, dark, hopeful, suspenseful, adventurous, primal and most of all, realistic. We got an action packed female trained super-soldier series! Finally. Get with it, people love it. Still miss Nikita but it hand to end. So did the Americans and they did it well. I hope this gets a similar run. Nielson and Netflix ratings must verge secretly by legal reps without leaks. Hardcopy eyeball views with pencils and paperpads and everything shredded afterwards, but we cant keep cancelling shows based on false stats. We have an archaic and new age system of rating here. I have a cure for the download problem too. If you like what you download you donate. IF it sucked you dont. Simple as that. I wonder what would happen if they created a movie allowing people to watch it for free and pay IF they like it. I dont want to pay netflix, I want to pay the producers of the shows I like. I want a network with the guts to create shows with big writers and names and stream and put out free 480p, 780p, 1080p download files for their episodes. Let them accept a dollar a season or 3, whatever you think you can afford for the work put in. Not only would people prove themselves loyal to well written media but the standard of quality would be directly in the hands of the viewers forcing refined better shows. HANNAN is a great example of this.

You're the Worst: What Money? (2019)
Season 5, Episode 4

Who's the Worst? We'll find out soon!
3 February 2019
This episode was a microcosm of everything I love about the show. Starts off in one direction, then all the sudden you're plunged down this other depth of layer you didn't see coming. And the climax of this episode will make you want to build a time machine to go forward to next week's episode. I think this is the most impatient I've been for the next episode. Game changer episode.... Pure genius. Easily one of my top episodes of the show's existence.

The Slap (2015)
Slap me silly and call me.
10 November 2016
Come on a show based on a kid getting slapped, i mean really? What bright producer figured that would be a good idea to invest millions into? With a cast like that you can make a show called "the crap" and have a piece crap, the same piece of crap, smear on an actor, get on another characters shoe causing eventual havoc. With a cast that like they would make that show 6/10.

But come on out of all the premises for a show, a slap of a kid? It makes me mad and angry, not sure why, no other show has done this before, when i see that title and that over dramatic slap, who cares!! Just stop!

Sigh. You need something that everyone can relate to, I'm sure someone had their kid slapped and felt some passion for this show but how many people can relate? THEY NEED TO MAKE THE TV SHOW FOR "DARK CITY". End of story.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020)
Storyline development much like Fringe, started out interesting and then took off into the higher realms of badassedness.
28 October 2015
This show reminds me of Fringe. NO SPOILERS -- Both shows started a bit off-centre not knowing where they were heading (seemingly knowing but I presume quite intentionally done) then they find a story-line which opens new doors which in turn open new doors as we get sucked into a very specific and awesome problem and resolution. I love shows where the story is connected throughout the entire season. I think the show Chuck had best of both world's where they had a few main story-lines concurrent with missions/stories self contained in that one episode. What i want to know is how much of what is going on right now was preconceived and how much has been changed/improvised. Do shows like this see the vibe and then realize that what was written isn't translating well into form and do they make adjustments? I feel like 'Battlestar Galactica' was stable, one thing led to another and the entire thing was spot on from the beginning.

I feel that Agents of Shield had a lot of good pieces working for it but had to find its groove. But once it did, its great to see. I appreciate this kind of show MORE than the shows that hit it off from the start! Its like seeing the odds on favorite Kentucky Derby winning the cup by a landslide, which is impressive, but not nearly as fun as the long-shot that wins by a nose! They made a key adjustment... i feel it in my gut that the show was good but good at best... and they sat around and made silver/gold into platinum diamonds. You can have platinum diamond hybrids. Soon they will have software and material that can print you a diamond .. any size or carat!

But that would destroy the jewelry industry and bring everyone's valuables down to being worth a fraction of what they are now. So you think we will see this tech anywhere else but Agents of Shield or TV!?

Son of God (2014)
Idolatry
1 March 2014
I don't think anything out of the bible should be translated to film, the only Jesus movie worth watching is "Jesus of Nazarath" from the late 70's,the 6 hour miniseries. Its like being in Israel with Jesus. As for me? Why do I believe in Jesus? I have a motto: "if I don't do something myself and if i don't see it, its not real." SO I ditched the whole church scene long ago. I gave God 40 days of no internet, sins at all, no videogames. Reading the new testament which was only 200 pages from Matthew 1 to the end, Revelation. I motored my way through it without sinning, kept asking Jesus to give me the Living Water and show Himself as He said in John he would. Day 33 i woke up feeling bliss, words cannot explain. That night I dreamt of Jesus walking down my street, tall and wearing a white robe followed by a parade. The bliss stayed, he appeared to me awake in visions too, transfigured, i was taken to hades, heaven and a lot more in dreams (sleeping) and visions (awake and having your eyes remain open as the curtain is lifted and the other side is shown to you.) Have you denied yourself pleasure for forty days asking for the living water to be given and Jesus to show himself to you as you read the entire new testament walking holy and apart from all worldly things? I did and Jesus came to me, thats why its real to me, the power came, he showed himself, heaven and hell, all of it. peace to you.

An Incredibly Crafted Piece of Cinematic History
29 April 2013
This could very well be the most profound film you'll ever see. Master-crafted to near perfection: the story, acting, directing, cinematography, writing, lighting, suspense and aesthetic feel of this film is beyond anything I'd experienced. Although it didn't hit me right away, I realized three fourths of the way through this film that I might be witnessing one of the best films ever made. To take an inanimate object and show so much emotion, history and intrigue through it, weaving centuries, people and history through that object is quite simply genius. See it as soon as you can, see it with someone you love, see it with someone you hate, just see it. There are certain movies people call 'hidden gems'. Well this movie might be the one that shines brighter than them all. If the Oscars went back over each decade of film and give honorary Oscars to films that should have won best picture, this should be the winner of that hypothetical award: The Best Picture that never got any credit.

Funniest show of the decade??? Possibly!
8 January 2011
This show is freaking hilarious... I mean, side busting funny and for all you all who gave it a 1 star I feel sorry for you because you have absolutely no sense of humor what so ever... at all... none.. zero.. zilch... this show will crack you up almost immediately and the best part of it all is that each episode gets funnier and funnier as the series goes along. Bunch of sticks stuffed too far up some of these folks butts...that they need surgically removed I suppose. Its okay, not everyone is smart enough for a comedy like this, but for those with more refined flavors, this comedy will be at the top of your list. So this is kind of a hit and miss type show that totally hit with me, again, almost immediately because of the physical comedy that is involved. Not to mention the characters are well written much like the IT Crowd, but I think this takes the cake as funniest series. Good job Mr. Dan Clarke.. you are a funny chap keep up the good work and here is to pulling sticks out of people's butts!

Philip K Dick finds Jesus Christ
18 November 2010
I found this documentary great... I don't know what you guys are all moaning about. The cartoon portion of Dick with his actual voice from archive tapes is great. These were just fans, let me see some of you do a better job! I give it a 10 out of 10 because what made Phil K Dick was his mind... and these guys focus on the transcending event of Phil's LIFE! I remember a few years after I watched this i considered finding God. And it was this testimony that led me to reading the Gospel and asking God to be real to me. Nothing happened so I just kept asking for the Holy Spirit, which Phil K Dick received the moment that girl walked up to his door with the Jesus necklace. I kept asking and reading the gospel in secret.. alone, no church, just my room. Three weeks later I was overtaken by a love freight train. I felt like I was either stuck in a permanent dream or dead and in heaven, then the visions of Jesus came, of heaven, of hell and Satan, angels in my room... ITS all real folks... IF SOMEONE wants GOD revealed, just ASK that out loud and ask GOD in Jesus name for the HOLY Spirit, the Living Water... and read the new testament as you remain pure for a time not partaking in the world. Thanks Phil K Dick for helping me see the LIGHT! Thanks filmmakers for making this movie! Thank you God for Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for those who do not JUDGE the word and give it a chance remaining objective! ANYONE has questions on my visions, how to find God, etc... lemme know: djvalis AT gmail dot com

This is just one of those movies
27 October 2007
... that'll seem too harsh for some, but be like a bright light for others. It definitely takes it over the edge, way way over, gripping tight our disbelief as it shakes our minds. Get ready for Taxi Driver meets Leaving Las Vegas - (on steroids and crack.) But to even say that, categorizing it, is a mistake. Because this is probably one of the most incredibly acted films (and by that i mean directed) films of all time. From start to finish, a creation of simplistic and masterfully original re-interpretations of the aggressive boyfriend beating on the beautiful girl who can't leave him.... nothing generic here. Just new doorways of havoc, destruction and circumstance that absolve all life and hope which accompany the life of Milla J. Violence and life so real that it kinda slaps you across the face halfway through the movie. Milla Jovovich, congratulations to you. I didn't think that from the thousands of hours of film I've seen, that this would be the most profoundly believable role of desperation I'd ever see on film by a woman... Best female performance of all time? Gary Lennon comes through in both style . Angus M's ferocious intensity not only incredible, but a real example of what acting is. Minimalism, even at its most perfect, can still be mistaken for folly by folly. If you don't think this movie is incredible, then you know nothing at all about film.
