Hope Lost (2015)
8/10
Just WOW!!!
19 March 2015
Honestly, first I think HOPE LOST is another cheap flick with some B-Movie Stars (You know: Danny Trejo and Michael Madsen). But the surprise was big, very BIG, when I realize that HOPE LOST is far away from a cheap flick. In fact HOPE LOST is pretty good and delivers more as just sex and violence. From the beginning to the very bloody end tells the movie a good story and delivers some very deep and believable emotions. Main actress Francesca Agostini is great as Sofia, but the real show stealer is Alessia Navarro as a female client of Sofia with a war background – her strong performance is just WOW!!! And the stars? Everyone of the famous faces delivers also a good performance: Mischa Barton is very strong, Michael Madsen is very evil, Daniel Baldwin is very sadistic and Danny Trejo is very frighting. HOPE LOST is truly a great movie – highly recommended and so much better as many other movies out there!!!

Eat (2014)
7/10
Tremendous intense movie
23 October 2014
EAT tells the story of the unsuccessful actress Novella McClure how hasn't landed a role in three years. Someday she starts to eating her own flesh and developing a bloody cannibalistic addiction. With his first feature length movie delivers director Jimmy Weber a strong mix between gory horror and deep human drama. Main actress Meggie Maddock gives a very, a VERY strong performance as a young woman how falls deeper and deeper into a dark addiction. Another strong point of the movie is the way the story is told. Thanks full the movie takes his time to work out a realistic scenario and becomes after that more and more dark. To the finale some very great gore scenes comes up how are not easy to watch.

Great movie in the vein of Asian Horror cinema
20 December 2013
David Blyth, the director behind the cult classic DEATH WARMED UP and the high controversial WOUND is back with a new flick. This time he picks up a ghost story in the vein of Asian horror cinema. The movies starts slow but get's faster and faster till the hear beating final. The acting is great, the shock moment are intense and Blyth managed to get the story interesting and suspenseful. With GHOST BRIDE David Blyth gives us a unique masterpiece of a movie. Sure, not everybody will love the movie, but GHOST BRIDE is one of these kinds of movies how are worth to be discovered. GHOST BRIDE is with not doubt a future to be cult movie.

A great and intense drama
17 May 2013
What a great and intense drama in the vein of SIN NOMBRE. The acting is powerful and the storytelling understands to create some deep emotions. The pacing of the movie is very slow after all, but this is a real strength of the movie. The audience gets the time to find his way in the sad world of the main character. Greisy Mena delivers a great and natural performance - I think she deserve an Oscar for that. The influence of the MS 13, the most dangerous Latino gang of the world, is also a big topic of the movie. When you get the chance to see this movie, do it without doubt. I love this movie - it's a masterpiece of his own. Everybody how is interest about the topic of gang

Savage Love (2012)
10/10
Splatter-Orgie Deluxe
23 December 2012

A true Slasher Masterpiece with a new cult killer!!!!
9 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
What can I say? What a masterpiece! What a fun to watch! What a cult classic of a modern slasher flick! I love MADISON COUNTY. With his first movie, Eric England does everything right. On the one side, the movie is a typical slasher flick and works perfect in this field. On the other hand, MADISON COUNTY has also some scene in which the movie breaks with the clichés of the genre. The kills are great and Nick Principe (he plays ChromeSkull in both LAID TO REST-movies) delivers a great performance as the killer with a pig mask. With his MADISON COUNTY is a must see for every Slasher- and Horror-Love. Hope there will be a sequel of MADISON COUNTY in the near future.

Sick Boy (2012)

Great Mix between Horror and Thriller with a intense amount of chilling moments
1 April 2012
Tim T. Cunningham – special effects creator of such great movies like X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, THE WOLFMAN and SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN – bring us with SICK BOY a intense mix between horror and thriller with a original story and a great amount of chilling moments. The acting – especially the two leading lady's Skye McCole Bartusiak and horror legend Debbie Rochon – is absolute strong. The story is very dark and take his time to build up a scenario of terror and fear. The final 20 minutes are a non stop heart beating tour the force with a surprise twist at the end. For my is SICK BOY one of the best genre flicks that I see in a long time. Can't wait to see more from Cunningham, I think he will have a bright future as director. Two dumbs up for SICK BOY!!!

Justify (2010)
10/10
Outstanding and unique movie with a refreshing premise.
5 January 2012
A few days ago I got the chance to see JUSTIFY (aka. A DOMINATRIX STORY). I think the movie is a great example for a unique underground movie. The whole background of the story (the story is set up in the SM – and Bondage-Scene of LA) is very refreshing and interesting. For me as a person who is not into these scene is the movie a good opinion to take a look on a alternative life and love style. The acting is also very good especially because of the fact Heather Lemire as example is a real life dominatrix. This gives the movie a nice touch of reality. I also love the way the movie told his story. Director Insung Hwang is with no doubt one of the most promising young director in the international underground cinema. JUSTIFY is the best proof, that he has a bright future in this field.
