Doctor Who: The Power of the Doctor (2022)
Chaotically Great
One of the best Chibnall era episodes on par with Village of Angels and Haunting of Villa Diodati and Tesla's Night of Terror. Full of surprises. There were 7 doctors in this episode!! Ace and Tegan were a good addition but Dan leaving felt a bit deliberately rushed. The regeneration scene was brilliant and I'm glad that the David Tennant rumours were true. It felt surreal to see his face again. The daleks and cybermen were great in this episode, however some plots were a bit confusing on first watch. The master was brilliant - really boosted the episode, and Yaz wasn't just standing around for once. What I found strange was that Graham was not with Ryan and felt strange with only him appearing. Overall 8.6/10.
The Sopranos: From Where to Eternity (2000)
Character Development at its finest and great TV
Through the aftermath of Chris' attempted wack, there is tension between Tony and Carmella and a belief in the afterlife through Moltisanti's near death experience. Brilliant Episode as it reminds me of 'I See You' from Breaking Bad after Hank kills the twins, but this episode is even better than that, proving how good this show really is, must've been great TV in 2000. Great acting from all characters, Especially Adrianna, Tony and Carmella. The main meaning of this episode is whether each character in the crime business believes what they did was ethical or not. This was shown through Chris' view of hell and Dr Melphys questioning of what Tony has done in his past was right or wrong. 10/10.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part I (2022)
Meh
No Action, Poorly Written, Princess Leia getting abducted was poorly directed and presented her as very vulnerable. The pacing was very slow and it was clear that the episode was stretched out to end the episode on Obi-Wan accepting the rescue of Leia.
Better Call Saul: Axe and Grind (2022)
How is this an 8.2, i think this is outstanding
Ahead of 603 and 602, i think 606 is an amazing build-up episode with creative and slower pacing which fits the tone very well. The 'D-Day' Cliffhanger was an amazing hook into 607. When I realised that Giancarlo Esposito, 'Gustavo Fring', had directed this masterpiece. The Symbolic Notebook at the vetinary at the start of the ep was really interesting, including the Hoover Max Pressure Pro cameo. Overral, a solid 9.1/10 episode.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Four - Village of the Angels (2021)
(Spoilers) The Doctor is a Weeping Angel and Chibnall made a banger.
The Doctor, Claire Brown and the Psychiatrist work together to stop the Angels in The Cursed Village of Devon when they realise they are stuck on a small island outer-space. Yaz and Dan meet Peggie after being warped from 1967 to 1901 to investigate. The star-crossed lovers try to find each other when they are on their home planet. The flux is still damaging the universe.
Weeping Angels were portrayed brilliantly in their first main story outing since 'The Angels Take Manhattan' in 2012.
The entire cast play their characters very well.
The idea of the early credit roll is really unique and the credit music juxtaposes its lack of clearness with the entrapment of the characters, and the doctor.
This episode has a very good cliffhanger and climax of the 'Flux' story.
The next episode airs 28th November, called 'Survivors of the Flux'. Excited for the re-establishment of UNIT which definitely was hinted by 13 earlier today.
