The Event (2010– )
2/10
Boring Another Season
14 March 2011
This show needs to be put out of its misery.

NO sophistication to the writing, just another never ending soap opera. Each show ends with the aliens threatening the humans, OR the humans threatening the aliens. Nobody tells the truth, so nobody believes anybody else.

Great actors playing shallow characters.

I did have high hopes for this show, but the flashbacks were old by the third episode. A two-hour prequel would have been smart.

I guess the writers have fresh ideas for stories, but just keep using the same format as "The Lost."

Joan of Arcadia (2003–2005)
Ultimate BullyVictim Show
30 April 2004
I have watched this show almost every Friday since it began. I thought it was another attempt at the success from "Highway to Heaver", "Touched by an Angel" or "Quantum Leap". Walk into peoples' lives, interfere, and leave things better for them. I was wrong.

This show is about a teenage girl being victimized by a bully, in this show the bully says he/she is God. Joan is ordered to humiliate herself and alienate her family, fellow students, and faculty of her school. She destroys others' personal belongings, dreams, and relationships. Joan never knows why and her only reward is to do it again. God is an Old Testament cynic without the courage of wrath. He lacks the fortitude of doing anything himself and bullies Joan to do it for him. The sick part is she still believes in the ultimate goodness of God. She never studied the Bible.

Hulk (2003)
No Nick Nolte!
4 July 2003
This movie would have been great without Nick Nolte. He added only time to this movie. The Bruce Banner character was just plain stupid and Nick Nolte was his usual self. This is perfect type-casting. General Ross and Betty were forced. Jennifer Connely should have done better!

Hide and Seek (1984 TV Movie)

Good Movie, Great Book
24 October 2002
Hide and Seek kept the character of the book, (Adolescence of P_1) a smart paranoid program). If you can find the book in a used bookstore, buy it and read it. This is probably the first mad computer novel and inpired the others (God Machine and Colossus: The Forbin Project Series),
