Equilibrium (2002)
This movie kicks major ass!
This movie is a great action B-movie. The gunplay here surpasses anything that I have seen so far. There are heavy John Woo influences here. I think it's called Gun-Fu. Absolutely great rental, check it out! And oh yeah screw Dimension films they really sabotaged this movie at the box office.
Ying xiong (2002)
Communist Bulls**t
The first three quarters is actually quite good then it turns into huge commie commercial. One nation, one language, one ruler yadda yadda yadda!
The cinematography is great, the fights are fantastic, the acting is quite good the overall message is SUBMIT! Watch it if you want and draw your own conclusions.
Chicago (2002)
This is the best movie of the year?
You've got to be kidding me this movie is terrible. Have any of you actually seen a real Broadway show? Because if you have you'd only be mildly amused by this tripe. First off there aren't any likeable characters because they're all shallow and totally self absorbed and second the main characters hardly dance, you may think they are but look again there are so many quick shots you almost couldn't tell who's who. In my opinion if this is the best picture of the year then we really need to replace the academy. TERRIBLE!! simply put TERRIBLE!
Kevin of the North (2001)
A poor man's Snow Dogs.
This is a rip-off of Snow Dogs minus the charm and the charisma. Everyone involved seems to be going through the motions. This is another throw away movie. Don't waste your time! TRUST ME!
The Time Machine (2002)
I'm glad I saw this movie for free!
I went to see the Time Machine at a special advance screening tonight. And instead of seeing a good entertaining Sci-Fi/Fantasy film, I witnessed a complete mess of a movie. The storyline of the film is preposterous. The direction is pure Hack Work!. The only bright spot in this film is Jeremy Irons(Very brief almost cameo like) appearance and Orlando Jones(Very underused) comic relief. Oh yeah! and the fact that it's only about 90 minutes. My personal advice, Skip it entirely.
