Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Review Of the Theatrical Version
This is made from a major flaw of the DCEU: going too big too fast. Batman and Wonder Woman were introduced in this movie rather than their own. Wonder Woman did get a movie just by herself but only after this one, while Batman did not get one by himself in this universe. It would be better if they were established before this movie.
Another big problem is how they implemented the fight. Batman and Superman barely fought each other. When they did, they were soon interrupted by Doomsday. That takes away the point of the movie if they fight a greater evil together than each other. With the brief fight they had, it was bad. Superman only did it because Lex Luthor manipulated him. It would be better if Supes had his own reason rather than being manipulated into doing it.
Short summary: DC went too fast while making these big events and this didn't have a good battle between Batman and Superman.
I haven't watched the Ultimate Edition as of right now. If I ever do, I will leave a review there.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
One of the Best MCU Movies to Date
A good thing about Thor Ragnarok is that it gives Thor development and expression. He learns that Asgard isn't in the place, but in the people. This is when Thor became more comedic, which makes the movie more rewatchable and memorable. It has scenes like "He's a friend from work!", the plan "Get Help", and of course, the meme. "Whatever game you're playing it won't work. You can't defeat me" "I know, but he can". It also has some fight scenes, which can be as memorable as the comedic ones.
Black Widow (2021)
Boring
This movie was pretty boring. The action scenes are worse than other marvel movies. It was so boring that I was looking for something else to do while watching it.
Steven Universe (2013)
One of the Best Shows Ever
A great thing about Steven Universe is its amazing story, themes, and characters. It brings the question- What if gems are living and can show emotion? It brings spiritual meanings into the characters and story(like Rose Quartzes stand for healing, the character Rose Quartz can heal). A big theme in the show is acceptance. It says that you should accept someone for who they are right now, rather than judging them based on looks or their past. Smaller themes include change, letting go, love, and finding yourself. The characters and themes help form the great story. Steven learns more about his mom throughout the show. By the end of the original series, he learns that he is not his mom, no matter what she did and he will do. All that makes it a good show. For me, I grew up watching the show, so I have nostalgia kicking in when giving this rating.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Spider-man, Spider-man, Does whatever a spider can
Far From Home is one of the best Spider-Man, and MCU, movies to date. All the action scenes are good visually. We have the scenes of Spider-Man and Mysterio versus the "Fire Elemental" and the final battle between Spider-Man and Mysterio. On top of that, Peter and his class was on a trip to Europe. Readers of the comics may have expected Mysterio's villain twist. The biggest twist of the movie is Mysterio revealing Peter Parker is Spider-Man to the entire world in the end credits. For me, it is probably my second favorite Spider-Man movie after No Way Home.
