57 Seconds (2023)
Brilliant premise but quite a few plot holes
The premise of the movie is a really good one and i did enjoy the movie however some of the plot holes really pulled me out of it and that made for an annoying experience. The cast is decent as well so I definitely think this deserves more than a 5/10 but there are some glaring issues. I'd happily watch another one of these in the series if they stopped the stupid writing mistakes. I.e playing with the plot item when in reality you'd glue it to yourself to stop it coming off. You'd be so much more careful than this person is. There also should be some sort of explanation or "shown" explanation of certain items in the move that never happens.
Dredd (2012)
If this isn't a 10 for you then you're not smart enough
The story, subtle plot points, cinematography on this movie are perfection. It is a pure travesty this movie didn't get more acclaim than it did, I just came at the wrong time being overshadowed by lesser comic book movies of the time. If you want something truly faithful and perfectly acted then watch this movie. You will not be disappointed. Karl Urban is THE perfect Dredd but he's supported by a brilliant cast. Lena does a great job and so do the rest. Even the other Judges in the movie do a stand up job here. The action and plot weigh up perfectly. The only negative is the fact I could watch many many sequels.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
Not sure how this is so highly rated
The story is completely disjointed. Adam Warlock is a pointless addition, he is literally only used at the end for an artificial drama, quill had his helmet in every movie. Drama is created as opposed to it being organic throughout the movie. Emotional scenes with animals are the only reason I can think as to why people are scoring it highly. Yea it's a bit of fun but so many goofs and poor story telling leave it feeling lacking. The first 2 movies are better on most fronts including music, acting and story telling so this does not deserve a higher score. It feels like every movie since endgame has lacked depth or purpose for Marvel and this is yet another example.
The Orville (2017)
What Star Trek should be
I know that comprising has been done to death but it really is that simple. It's brilliant and with Braga on board it deserves more credit than the new "trek" every will.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
Brilliant series. Undervalued
Captain based is based. I loved him shutting down stupid ideologies. Completely underrated as opposed to the other woke garbage about.
It's a shame this won't be returning for another season as the story was interesting and characters flawed. Great series to rival the boys if given the time.
Interceptor (2022)
Wtf is this?
This is like a badly written story that's had a satire made about it and then a movie made about the satire but unironically.
Every line is cheese and a joke but acted "seriously"
The movie is so substandard that anyone involved should be ashamed. Especially Chris Hemsworth.
The Batman (2022)
This isn't an 8/10 movie
Parts of a the movie are great but overall is way too drawn out. Scenes are stretched for little reason other than atmosphere but it just detracts to it overall. This would have made a better series than a movie for the format but still I didn't think it would have been that good. Average movie with some good moments.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022)
Another nightmare by Alex Kurtzman
Stop hiring this man. He is an AWFUL writer. The man wouldn't know consistency if it smacked him in the face and that's within his own shows let alone the lore it's based around. This show is poor. The jokes are low quality, the actors are low quality and so is the story. The only save is the slightly capable acting of Christopher Pike but even then they butchered his character as a Kirk rip off. Avoid watching this show. It's bad and it's not Trek.
Spectre (2015)
The only movie I've walked out of the cinema.
This movie is so boring and poorly written I was falling asleep. My partner did fall asleep. I could tell in every moment that Daniel Craig didn't want to be there and it was just for the money.
Halo (2022)
This isn't Halo and it's a bad series regardless
Even if this was Halo, which it isn't, the story is poorly written, the consistency is non existent, the props aren't painted, the actors are poorly cast. If you are entertained by this then good for you but you're missing out on what could have been great by supporting this series.
The Sinking City (2019)
Masterpiece
Like most of their Sherlock games this is completely under rated. Story is classic lovecraftian but has the great mechanics of a Sherlock game. Combat is basic but fun enough. It's more about the atmosphere and the fact they could be found any corner. Brilliant game. Must play.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Shockingly poor
I can't see how this is so highly rated? The acting is poor. Leo's worst work. The story has a good premise but it's executed poorly with unrealistic and stupid responses. The comedy is super poor. Tbh this is a travesty of a movie. Don't waste your time.
It Takes Two (2021)
One of the beat games I've ever played
If you're a couple then play this. It's the biggest rollercoaster I've ever seen. Loved it. Everything about it is good. Emotional, fulfilling, fun. It's a masterpiece.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
There's no way the high scores are genuine
This movie is objectively bad. It's almost like the mentally ill, now they've been accepted in society rather than being treated, are turning cinema insane. The original matrix is the only one you should watch.. this woketrix is awful.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Anyone not giving this a 9 or 10 hasn't seen it
This movie is easily the best Spider-Man and superhero movie ever made. It just edges endgame and iron man. Honestly yes it does require some previously knowledge but it harkens back perfectly. The acting is 10/10, that stakes/story is 10/10, music 10/10. I'm honestly not sure what more you could ask for. It's perfect.
