Isekai Meikyuu de Harem o: Encounter (2022)
intresting start kinda....
So far it looks like it's going down the path of Redo of Healer. Not so much revenge so far and while brutal not on the protagonist himself. He's so far in this episode is going to buy a sex slave.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu: The Usual Girlfriend (2022)
This isn't for me anymore
I don't know what's going on with this season but, they kinda just decide to throw away what progress they made with multiple flashbacks, no getting closer. The title shows how I feel.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part VI (2022)
it was lit
Everything you were looking for, flashbacks, it honestly felt like actual Star Wars, with the hello there, the qui-gon vader vs kenobi, kenobi always has the high ground. A must-watch.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part V (2022)
this episode was great!
It was finally moving the plot forward, the third sister getting stabbed by the grand inquisitor (who can't stay dead) Vader kicking her butt. It was great all around.
Yofukashi no uta: Naito furaito (2022)
good ep
This episode covered the first (maybe a bit of the second) chapter so, it's important but not too much crazy stuff packed in. The pacing if going with one ep and chapter is going to make it interesting. It was still a great episode.
Futari Ecchi (2002)
it's mid-teir
This show is all about boning. A few scenes of sex, but, that's it. Not much in character development, not much really learning. A quarter of the time was spent with the casual love style of the protagonist sister, a new couple and a cousin popped up out of nowhere in the last episode. I'm thinking the target audience is really 15 year olds or those who haven't had sex yet and needs some fantasies shown to them.
Monogatari Series: Second Season: Mayoi Kyonshî Sono Yon (2013)
returned from a long time away
I was moving my ratings from other anime sites to here, as I was doing the transfer I felt like tackling the things on my pending / paused list from anilist and MAL. I watched this episode and was reminded why I fell in love with the series in the first place. The colors, the art, the story! While not the greatest art, it goes well with the play on colors, scene cards that are simplistic but complex in terms of depth at times.
Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu: What I Can Do Now (2022)
it's wrapping up
So Leon is watching a lot unfold in a short time:
1. Olivia using her saint powers
2. Angelica gaining stronger spells, namely fire lance
3. Olivia confessing her love to Leon
4. The invasion falling apart
5. The invasion strengthens
as you can see, a ton of stuff is going on in the 2nd to last episode of the season. Leon riding in and shooting people was at first wow, the princess releasing her control was like 0_0 the king trying to kill, and some random looks like super powered knight make a great episode.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part IV (2022)
a let down
It was a let-down from last episode it wasn't as deep, no surprises, or emotional depth. Hopefully the next one is better. Little Leia has more skill than rey with even less training for a Jedi. A Sith inquisitor could not break into her mind, but the inquisitor could for an adult male?
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari: Katana Hero (2022)
ramdom stuff got rushed in
So now we got one more weapon hero, magic from another world got dispelled, people being reunited. All in all good, just wished it didn't feel so rushed, maybe an hour would've not made all the developments happen one after another.
Yûsha, yamemasu: I'll Save the World, Even If That Means Destroying It (2022)
better near ending than most shows
The battle commences, one general being defeated one after another, it's like this shows "Vader scene from rouge one" just sheer horror and hopelessness everyone was showing!
Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu: Unlike You Wannabe Nobles (2022)
Random
Rushed reveals all over, a ok speech was made. Not really much else to say it was a bit boring but it might be needed for next episode. They visit a Shinto shrine he may or may not gain a magical item.
The Northman (2022)
A darker story than Vinland saga
You could see the influence of the green knight in the usage of title cards, surreal dream like instances, fox guide, the message of "you cannot out run fate" while giving him the option to do so; their honor would not let them avoid it though. The preforming of the actors were ok, it could've been better, the story itself was what would've happened to thorfin from Vinland saga if he went down the path of vengeance. All in all It could be worse, could be better, keep your expectations marginal or low and it'll be ok; it's a great film to watch at least once though both the green knight and Vinland saga was better.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari: Humming Fairy (2022)
a bit of old and new plot wise.
Filo caught by some slaver, naofumi getting accused in this world like in the other world, naofumi keeping raph's hair and no one questioned it.... it's mostly a mix of season one repeat and something else, formula wise. They stopped naofumi from going to the dark side, I wished they did allow that. They opted for him just to make the noble go mad for a few minutes. Why?
Aharen-san wa hakarenai: We're Camping, Huh? (2022)
camp + love = movement.
Camping episode. Aharen forgot to bring food, so they forge for the food. A bit different from camping episodes from other anime in that the world won't end but, more realistically, solving the problem. Sato deciding that they need alone time is just like last episode with surprises. The dog is the real MPV of the trip. Stargazing, relationship gazing, and the movement from unrequited love into an actualized relationship change. Pretty good episode.
Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita: Science-types Fell in Love, So They Tried Having a Campus Festival. (2022)
School fair is under way!
It is a filler episode it might be ok to skip, I wouldn't but, if you have to go for it. It just covers the cosplay the student getting tutor, the parent of said student, how vast space is, and the student is now aiming for the college. As you can see it isn't really focusing on the main cast. A great filler episode better than Naruto at least.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Part III (2022)
Jedi mental health
This episode is like the passion of Christ, but in Star Wars. Suffering, doubt, depression, and hardships all fit in this 47 minutes episode. You really get to see how this Jedi is dealing with his PTSD and builds this character to be more human than in his clone wars years. This episode pushes the portrayal of Jedi suffering further than any other currently cannon media. My favorite character in Star Wars is kenobi; this episode makes me like the character even more. Vader dragging kenobi through the flames to make him suffer like back in mustafar highlights the relationship's current course. You can feel the hate Vader was portraying. All in all this episode is both the "empire strikes back" kind of episode and the best so far.
Yûsha, yamemasu: I Want to Quit Heroing (2022)
Things are finally coming together
He revealed himself, explained why he joined the army, then challenged them. Twisting what is a hero and what is a villain and we finally could see faintly the demon queens budding like/love of her former enemy.
Supai Famirî: The Counter-Secret Police Cover Operation (2022)
a bit different but, yay!
This is not an Anya focused episode, so yay for us older guys watching! We finally get to see yor's brother and that he works for counterintelligence was great. A bit dim witted in some regards, sharp in others, the only reason I'm giving it a 9 is that it ended on the cliffhanger.
Aharen-san wa hakarenai: I'm Sick, Huh? (2022)
somethings are coming together
Unexpectedly, the love aspect finally came out. When he got a fever, and she was blushing, I was like oh snap! Then when we meet her other sister, I was like ok, then the other sister has a crush on him.... A love V has begun. I am wondering what exactly is going to be the next episode. I give it a 9 and not a 10 only because there's like 3 EPS left and the love aspect just jumped on us now instead of unfurling throughout.
Foundation (2021)
it has 3 storylines only one of them is good.
The emperor storyline is good, gale is ok, but the terminus is not as great. Visuals were great and only episode 1 has a strong sci-fi vibe to it. Five out of the seven I gave it was purely the emperor storyline. Don't get me wrong, if that was the whole storyline it would be a 7 -9 stars, but the other two just doesn't feel as fleshed out nor as integrated.
Eternals (2021)
It had potential, just not realized.
I saw some reviews by critic stating it was philosophical, deep, but not actioned packed. They were right with one of those. It brings up philosophical topics where if they actually went with it I would have gave it a star more but... take for example one of the eternals has a kid, it doesn't go that much into what it means to be a parent instead he decided to risk everything for a kid. No real reason why but just because a kid, no motivation for saving the Kid other than a kid existing.
