Rating down a series just because the production was supported by the government is disgusting and childish. You don't have to like or support the government to enjoy a historical series. This series is the best Hungarian period drama they have made in the past years (period drama, meaning series not movie!). It may not be 100% historical accurate, but it is enough to be considered as a period drama which belongs to the more accurate ones.

Episode 3 is my favourite episode so far, I loved how the three storylines of the three Báthorys came together at the end of the episode - it was really beautifully done. Bad words can't be said about the acting, cinematography, costumes and music. Can't wait for the next episode!

This episode is one of the best I have ever seen in my life. So well done! The characters, the writing, the cinematography, the acting... Everything is phenomenal!

I'm personally a history nerd, if course I love period dramas. I didn't know what to expect before watching the movie (especially because in an interview the producer said that he recommends it over 30 years old...), but it was one of the greatest positive disappointment in my life. It was very good! The acting was remarkable, and the chemistry between the main characters was fenomenale. The only thing I disliked that it was a bit short for me. Definitely recommending it to everyone, your age isn't matter.
