Pixar's greatest achievement and one of the greatest movies of all time: WALL-E is more visually stunning than any animation of its time or today. They simply don't make movies with this much attention to detail anymore. Not only were the characters and setting beautiful, but small plot intricacies had us laughing every 30 seconds.
It is not common to find a kids & family / dystopian hybrid. WALL-E simultaneously entertains all generations while contemplating ideas of consumerism, climate change, love, what it means to be a machine, and what it means to be human. I appreciated the nods to 2001: A Space Odyssey, and felt all too convicted while watching the future humans stare mindelessly into their screens and ignore the world around them.
If you haven't seen WALL-E by now, it absolutely deserves a watch, even for adults! Pay close attention, the minor details are some of the best parts!
