It was okay...
I decided to give this a try as I saw that the overall rating from viewers was quite high, but this was just okay for me. I kept hoping it would get better as the story progressed but it didn't. It was as if the writers were trying to cram as many silly tropes and cliches into this as they could. This was most likely because there was no depth to the story in terms of the plot. There was way too much faking and lying, and too many unnecessarily difficult situations and predicaments to the point that I felt somewhat annoyed during most of the episodes. I almost gave up watching it several times and I found myself fast forwarding trough some parts of the later episodes so I could hurry and finish it.

Could have been better...
This drama had so much potential but it was not executed as well as it could have been. It had a good premise and it started off well but it became kind of slow and monotonous near the halfway point, and I found myself fast forwarding through some scenes near the end to just hurry and finish it. The 2 main leads had great chemistry that seemed slightly wasted in the storyline. The character Jin-ah became more and more unlikeable as the story went on. She was spineless especially with her family, she lied to Joon-hee several times, and was constantly making the worst decisions without seeming to learn from her mistakes. There was basically no character development which was frustrating. Near the end I found myself thinking that I would be totally fine if she and Joon-hee did not end up together. The ONLY reason I was okay with them ending up together is because I wanted Joon-hee to be happy and apparently being with Jin-ah made him happy. I absolutely hated that Joon-hee was the one to go chasing down Jin-ah and apologize to her at the end. And I want to state that that time jump was one of the most poorly done time jumps I have ever seen on screen. Also I can't fail to mention the overuse and inappropriate use of the 2 songs "Stand by Your Man" and "Save the Last Dance". These songs were inexplicably used multiple times each episode, at times that did not fit the mood or tone of the scene during which they were played. And they were often played at such a high volume which caused the song's music and lyrics to compete with the dialog happening in the scene. Overall I just think this drama could have been so much better.

Awesome!
This show is great. I love the storyline! The acting, directing, cinematography, and soundtrack are all fantastic. And I really appreciate the social commentary that it brings to the forefront.
