Hearts & Horses (2023)
A family affair that should have stayed home.
I really wanted to like this movie since I'm a sucker for horses and "troubled" youth movies. This family of "actors," writer, director and lest not forget the editor failed dismally. The music was way too loud to even come close to being called either enjoyable or talented. And what was that birthday party supposed to be? A flashback to the 80's? The "costumes" totally ridiculous. Then at the end of it they jump to a year later? I gave it two stars simply because of the two horses, donkey and the beautiful scenery. Avoid this one unless you simply want to be tortured, there far more better ones out there to watch.
Mississippi Burning (1988)
DON'T WATCH THIS IF YOU ARE
Prone to be highly upset over injustice, bigotry, etc. I first watch this back in 88 in the theaters. Yes., I am that old. Today I finally broke down and watch it again after 34 years. I experienced the same rage as I did in 88. For those who are young and never have watch or lived thru such injustices in this country be prepared it will rock you to your core. But it truly is a film worth your time.
Outer Range (2022)
PASS ON THIS ONE
Basically this review is simply to give this series one star. Believe me if negative stars were available it would be the MAX. Between 2 family of nuts plus you toss in Autumn and you have a bowl full of nuts! The music constantly popping in with partial lyrics and " Billy's" so call singing made my stomach turn. Add in the "love scenes" between him and Autumn and the over emphasized tongue action, you get to the puking stage. Save yourself 8 hours and forgo this one!!
Grimm (2011)
OH PLEZ
I'm retired now so I never saw this series during its original time, due to working long hours. And though the series can be interesting at times. By the time of series 2 episode 18 I am truly sick to death of the Juliette saga. They really ran this "story" into the grimd. I fiound myself just shouting to end this drama about 5 episodes ago. Sorry just had to vent the frustration otherwise I would probably score it about a 7 or 8:(
The Virginian: Crime Wave in Buffalo Springs (1969)
SAD SLAPSTICK
To have so many stars of the future in this episode I can only shake my head at the overall stupidity and the direction of this show. Look at that cast it could have been a great one. One of the worst Virginia episodes I've ever seen:(
Where the Land Meets the Sky (2021)
Bluntly pure awful.
One question did the "sponsors" of this movie just approach the very first people on a street they came across and asked them if they wanted to direct, produce, write or act in this film? Or were they all in the family?? The mother in law even appeared to be younger than the so call "widower," who acting is beyond poor. And the rest of the cast filled their roles with stilted, wooden performances. I've seen high school plays that had more talent. This "movie" had an important message that was there for the taking. Sadly the "cast," especially the director just couldn't get it done. I cannot recall ever being this disappointed in a movie that had so much potential. Skip this one you'll thank me:(
