Tom Swift (2022)
Garbage!
Poorly written, poorly directed, choppy, and acting that couldn't last two nights as a high school play. The simple concept of missing entertainment is the only mystery to see here.
Resident Alien (2021)
Acient Alien Astronaut Critics Say Yes!
You know I always believed there was intelligent life in the universe, because, for the most part, aliens DON'T visit Earth, but I'm glad this one did. I'll admit, I thought the show was lame at first, but the writers quickly developed the alien character and what I initially viewed as awkward weirdness turned into a pretty unique and hilarious comedy. I only wish the Sci-Fi Network would air all the episodes continuously, instead of breaking it into two short seasons. I also think that if anyone is new to the series, it would be helpful to watch all the past episodes, as the history, in this series, seems a bit more important to understanding the situations and the characters than most TV shows.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Thick as Thieves (2022)
Who knew Parker was deeper than a pile of pasteries?
Well the writers finally figured out a way to give the new guy some much needed depth. Great! Parker has some big shoes to fill, and in past episodes, filling them with pastries just made him look like a clown. Now the writers are giving him some much needed depth by tying his past in to this episode. Hope to see more character development as the series progresses. I'll admit I used to watch NCIS mostly for Gibbs, but I have hope the writers and cast will continue to produce quality episodes, like this one, in his absence.
The Rookie: Real Crime (2022)
Next Time, Follow the Rules!
Rule #1: Have an idea.
Rule #2: Make sure it's a good idea.
Now we need a new police drama to catch the people who break those two rules. The way things are in Hollywood these days, it just might become the longest running series in television history!
The good news, the "regular" episodes of Rookie are pretty great, most of the time. Please stop making these lame documentary/interview shows.
