The Virginian: A Killer in Town (1963)
Season 2, Episode 4
10/10
Gripping story
14 March 2019
This is an outstanding episode, with a strong story and fine performances both from the regulars (especially Cobb, Drury and McClure) and from guest star Broderick Crawford (and also from Arch Johnson, in the crucial part of the doctor). Like many episodes in the series, it is more or less a mystery story, but it is also (and on a more important level) a heart-warming tale about friendship, loyalty and the possibility of redemption even for the most unlikely candidates - more than one character learns, as Trampas says at one point, something important about himself. Gripping throughout (though not one shot is fired) - don't miss it!
