Lauding for the effort they've put in !👏🏻

The movie attempts to showcase a lesser-known but highly significant historical moment among us, the people of Gujarat, of which we are undoubtedly proud. However, one can't help but notice some flaws in the storyline, screenplay, and cinematography. The movie was supposed to focus on the tale of how our ancestors stopped a cruel invader and saved a pivotal chapter in our history. Yet, for no apparent reason, we witness almost 30 minutes of fillers that have no connection with the main story.

Slow-mo scenes were noticeably laggy with low FPS, and the camera occasionally jiggled between scenes. Additionally, one character had a random line inscribed on his face with what seemed like a mere black sketch pen, intended to be a scar but resembling more of an eyeliner.

The background music used to represent Khilji's intentions sounded like someone belching into a microphone. After witnessing the pinnacle of the Gujarati film industry with "Reva," filmmakers should prioritize investing more in their research rather than attempting to evoke baseless dramatic emotions. This movie highlights that there's still a long way to go for filmmakers to reach a new summit.

Dear Father (2022)

Gujarati Baghban
5 May 2022
WARNING!

Be aware that this movie is a Gujarati version of Baghban and even more brutal.

I played this movie to watch with my family as it featured Paresh Rawal and thought it'd be fun to watch a gujarati movie....but as the movie proceeds, entire family atmosphere became damn serious and mood ni pathari phari gayi.
