Xploration DIY Sci (2016)
We love Steve
My kiddos love to see Steve Spangler. They absolutely love the way he makes learning science fun. THe kiddos do many of the experiments at home in our kitchen, and have used a few for science class at school. Think our favorite shows have been the Halloween one, and the time they build the hover craft. We also enjoy all the science related field trips Steve takes his views on. I grew up with Captin Kangaroo, and this show gives me that kind of nostalgic feel, with a modern twist. The kiddos love the way he blows stuff up, and makes some of the experiments oversized. I hope they will continue to make more new episodes, my children could watch these for hours.
Captain Kangaroo (1955)
Love The Captain
I grew up with Captain Kangaroo, and my kids and me watch now on YouTube. I wish C. B. S. Would bring all the episodes of this show back. I would love for my kiddos to see the programs I saw growing up. We never missed watching the Captin, especially in the Summer time when school was out. I loved Mr. Greenjeans and Dennis. The puppets, Bunny and Mr. Moose, were so funny, especially the ping-pong balls--love the ping-pong balls too. Perhaps my favorite was Grandfather Clock. I really miss seeing these shows.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015)
Stephen & Jon, I love these guys
I love Stephen Colbert. He and Jon really make The Late Show. I never watched the late show until Stephen took the helm, but I try to never miss it now. Stephen, made me laugh all through the first part of the pandemic. The fact that they continued making programs really encouraged me and gave me something to look forward to. I always have my kleenex close because Stephen makes me laugh so hard. My T. V. is always on C. B. S. When the Late Show is on.
This Is Us (2016)
Love, Love, Love
This Is Us is one of the best shows currently. I cannot miss this one. Love Mandy Moore in everything she's ever done, but i think this role stretches her talents and abilities--bravo and a standing ovation. I love that this show stirs emotions and really causes the audience to think. No mindless viewing with this program. Always have the box of kleenex handy when watching.
Mister Chuck's Workshop (2020)
Great Show to Wind Down With
My children and me watch Mister Chucks Workshop before bed. Chuck's slow purposeful style helps my little ones wind down. Their favorite part of the show is the puppets and the crafts, but I really like the songs. I grew up with Captin Kangaroo, and this show reminds me a lot of the Treasure House. Maybe its the old fashioned telephone, or maybe its when Mr. Chuck sits in the rocking chair to read a story to the kiddos, but I think back to my childhood watching the Captin. The Captin always had a softspoken tone too. I like Mr. Chuck's softspoken tone. I hope there will be more shows made, and not just the one's they show now. My kiddos love the musical episode, where all the puppets make a musical and perform it. I hope they will do more shows like the musical one! This is a great show for families with small children. It has a nostalgic feel, only it's very modern, like Mr. Chuck has a laptop in one episode, and he always puts his cell phone away at the start of each show. I started thinking about putting my cell phone away while my kids and me have dinner and play time. Mr. Chuck even sings a song about putting away the phone. That made me think a lot. Great show for young kids and adults too.
