Very Important
18 March 2024
Every American needs to *actually* watch this. Put all their vitriol aside and consider the entire series before rating/commenting. I realize this is impossible, but I just had to state it so maybe ONE person will consider what we're all here for.

This series ties generations together to make sense of where and why we are here, politically. It's laser focused, as far as I'm concerned, toward the very important wide view message that we need to fully comprehend what us humans have done in creating these massive annihilation nuclear devices.

I truly think if you disregard this whole work, you are for the destruction of cultures, land, identity, environment, and humanity itself. Not a great place to be.

Such Brave Girls (2023– )
So so good

It might be because I hyper identify with this family dynamic, but this is the greatest, tight season of comedy tv I've seen in a good long while. Damn, Brits take self deprecation to another level of art and I'm all for it. Kat Sadler is an incredibly talented writer and artist. The most compelling drawing of a horse I've ever seen.

Every character is great. The actor who plays Seb is like a bizarro Michael Cera but funnier. Billie goes all in on being "that girl" and the desperation is palpable. There's complexity in here that mocks tropes and is totally self aware. I also love the nod to bodily functions, and the closeness of female relationships. This show kind of addresses all the qualms I have with quirky sitcoms! Can't wait to see more.

Too dumb

I was expecting more than listening to anecdotes of dissociative experiences. Most people have had similar thoughts, boys. It's a very common human thing. If you've had a stoned discussion with a friend or two, or have studied philosophy on the most basic level, nothing in this will blow your mind. I was hoping for a deeper scientific discussion, and not so attached to pop culture imagery. It's like they hit every angsty teenage boy movie possible, and that was very distracting. I guess if their narrow target was angsty teenage boys it could be considered a success. It just could've been a lot smarter. Watch Devs instead.
