The Curse of Page 3 (2003)
linsey dawn mckenzie + others
Loads of models from page 3 talking about the negative side of modelling. Linsey Dawn Mckenzies contribution consists of complaining about people shouting things at you in the street, boyfriends having difficulty dealing with your job,she says drugs were offered to those who wanted them(Linsey doesn't say whether she did or not),she supports model Jordan for being successful at getting loads of publicity. Linsey has a sideswipe at Sam Fox(who's also in this documentary) for thinking that models can succeed at singing. Sam says she was successful but Linsey comes back by saying not in the UK. Linsey looks great in this docu with blue jeans and a tight black top. She ends by answering the question 'whats the difference between a fan and a pervert ' by saying they're all perverts and laughing.
Also has a rare clip of busty Maria Whittaker singing.
Girls Behaving Badly: Episode dated 28 January 2003 (2003)
linsey dawn mckenzie docu and others
I recorded this 2002 British TV documentary. It contains segments with Cathy Barry and Ashley Bond as well as Linsey Dawn Mckenzie. Linsey was 24 when she did this and says she'd been modelling for 9 years.
She talks about the countdown to her first topless appearance in the Daily sport newspaper and going down to the newsagent to see herself. Linsey's mum is shown in the documentary and Linsey talks of going from having no money to having 500 pounds in her hand. She's shown driving a BMW and taking part in a publicity stunt where she strips topless and puts her breasts on some wet cement to leave their indentation on it.
Another Linsey scene shows her going to a nightclub opening event in a stretch limo with her sister Alison(who's also done some videos and modelling). They have an argument on the way.
Finally she says she's spent 100,000 pounds on boyfriends. She talks about her failed first marriage with Terry a window cleaner (who she did her first hardcore movie with) and how he had a problem because she was earning more money than him. Interesting documentary.Good info on Cathy Barry also.
Mother Love (1989)
Mother love review/DVD
Wow,just got hold of it on DVD from a friend who recorded it. I never saw it in 1989 and this is my first time. Rigg plays a woman who's approaching 50,she was abandoned in the past by her husband(played by David Mccallum) who now has a successful marriage to a photographer(Isla Blair). Dianas character is deeply possessive of her 20 something son who's just about to get married and leave home. He isn't supposed to see his Father because it would seem like betrayal to his mother, but secretly does. As it progresses we see how she reacts to her world falling apart. One of the best pieces of television drama I've ever seen. The ending is haunting and poignant.
