Prehistoric Planet: Ice Worlds (2022)
The best looking episode!
The show as a whole is already way above any other dinosaur media ever made in terms of visuals and realism, so it's difficult to keep these standards for all the shots in this series. Some compromises have been made for instance in the previous episode (which, even then looks like nothing ever made anyway), but this one, this one looks amazing from beginning to end, whether technically, or in image composition. But it's not just the visuals that are great, the overall pacing is top notch. I would have loved to see more of that troodontid though, but time is limited!
Overall the best and most consistent episode so far!
Prehistoric Planet: Coasts (2022)
A wonderful first episode!
A wonderful first episode that makes you want to see more! A perfect beginning I can say, and free to watch for anyone interested. Of course everything is absolutely stunning, from the visuals, to the animations, the music, the narration, all of it.
Prehistoric Planet (2022)
An unprecedented masterpiece of a documentary
Prehistoric Planet is the most effective time travelling machine I've ever experienced. It is the first paleo documentary that I've seen that literally feels like it has actual real dinosaurs footage in it, and in front of which you can only be in awe. It's the first time something so far away in time as prehistoric creatures, has looked as real as today's animals. Like the producers have said, watch the show like a Planet Earth series, but set 66 million years ago. It is for sure an unprecedented spectacle, experience. To me, and a lot of people, this is a dream coming true. A must watch for anyone!
