Romeo & Juliet (2024)
I am sick of y'all hating on this.
You guys should all be ashamed. I am convinced 99% of the bad reviews haven't even watched it. It makes me sick on how everyone reacted to this play. I know damn well if someone with a lighter skin tone was playing Juliet, then everyone would have been eating this up as with all the other adaptions of this well-known story. Gasp! You think Romeo and Juliet shouldn't be together, wow, I'm shocked. That's almost like it's the whole point of the story. In the original play, isn't Juilet like 13 and Romeo is 16/17? You guys need to get a job, a hobby, and a life. Worry abour your own problems, not an actress who is defintely making more money than all of y'all combined.
Theater Camp (2023)
This movie is criminally underrated and the movie of the summer
I know this review is a little late, but when I watched the movie it was summer! Anyways, his moviee cracked me up so hard! The random post malone songs omg, the characters, and the whole damn movie, I mean come on. It was everything and more. If I am being honest, I did mainly watch this movie for Ayo Edebiri. She is literally an Icon. But I left that movie loving everyone in that damn movie. Molly Gordon did a spectaular job. The musical at the end was so funny, I mean Joans story was just everythinggg. And the character development was amazing. I really loved this movie. I literally have no complaints!! More people need to watch this movie. It was silly and fun and heartwarming, I loveddd it. And before I end this review, am I the only one shocked that she rejected Julliard for her best friend?!
Blue Beetle (2023)
Best DC movie everrr (its heartwarming, fun, and action/packed. What more could you ask for?)
Insert chef's kiss here because I swear to god this movie was freaking amazing. I came into this movie with high hopes and left with my expectations shot through the damn roof! Xolo did a spectacular performance (as always). The family was so loving and realistic oh my god. When that scene came on when Kord was hunting them down in their house I swear I cried. Like full on tears. You can't help but root for them every single time. Every person who helped make this movie a reality deserves everythinggg. I was sobbing, laughing, everything. And when that guy with the red suit had the epiphany at the end, I can't lie that made my heart hurt. It was so beautiful, the entire movie. The message that a loving family makes you stronger always gets me everytime. This movie deserves everything.
The Little Mermaid (2023)
The best disney live action!!
I have been excited for this movie ever since they announced the casting years ago, and this movie exceeded all of my expectations. It was fun, adventurous, light-hearted, everything and more! Halle Bailey was the most amazing Ariel, her voice and her acting was absolutely splendid and I know no one else could have topped her (sorry not sorry!) And don't get me started on Jonah Hauer-King! Good at acting and can sing? Hello, this movie was perfect, I don't care. My one and only complaint is the fact that Awkafina was Scuttle. If you know, you know. Melissa was an amazing Urusula, did not know she could sing! The casting was impeccable! Well, they could have done a better Caribbean accent for Sebastian like cmon y'all. Anyways, amazing movie 10/10. Best disney live action!! I would say more but don't want to anger the haters.
First Kill: First Goodbye (2022)
Such a good episode!!
This show is amazing and all of the plot twists had my mind blown! This show deserves like five seasons. If you enjoy shows like Vampire Diaries or Teen Wolf, this show is right up your alley, but sapphic! This show is just as amazing (actually better in my opinion) as those shows sooo go watch it (duh)
